For CPU thing, while OS is booting press the Pause button on your Keyboard, it should halt booting process now leave the PC in that state, if it does not reboot from there then problem is with either RAM/Mobo or CPU. Because in this condition none of these components are being used ...
Ok, I just tried this step, I stopped the booting process by pressing the pause button and waited for 15 good minutes, but the pc did not continue with the booting and just stayed with that screen only. The screen had American Megatrends written on it. And some info as given below.
AMIBIOS (C) 2006
BIOS Date - 07/31/2008
CPU frequency 2.60 GHz
RAM frequency 667
Press DEL ro run SEtup
Press F12 for BIOS post flash
Press F9 for BBS popup
Initialising USB controllers..Done....
1016 MB ok + 8 MB share memory.....
I am using 1 GB DDR2 Dynet brand RAM, but is a good enough as per some people I have asked.
So what do I do now? Thanks.
