Horrible MNP experience with TATA DOCOMO

No post from TD bot?

How's the service been so far in Pune? Both network coverage as well as customer service. I have been using IDEA for the last 6 months (in Pune). While the service is good, I have been annoyed with their prepaid recharge schemes. I have lost close to 140 rupees because the recharge amount goes to some dedicated account that I can use for making calls and the customer service folks are completely clueless. Thinking of switching to Tata DOCOMO, but after hearing all the horror stories, I wondering if it is even worth the shift. Atleast network coverage is fine on IDEA.

I switched from Idea to TD. My number is from Mumbai circle but I use it in Pune. Both have decent network coverage but I had lots of problems with Idea regarding their hidden charges and their poor customer care which was mostly unapproachable for my issues. I have switched to TD and find they are much more transparent and overall I am able to at least have proper conversations with CC as well as their chat service.
After hearing from others on this forum, it appears that Idea provides good CC for postpaid connection but is simply horrible for prepaid.
If you are on prepaid you might find TD a better alternative.
On the subject of network coverage, both are equally good within Mumbai and Pune but Idea has better connectivity on the Mumbai-Pune route.

Thanks a lot for that info. I have a prepaid connection. It is good to know that TD has better customer service. Contacting Idea has been a terrible experience for me.

I have ported one of my Idea number to DOcomo last month...at the time of getting new sim i was told by the docomo people at docomo office that I will get 1 GB data( 2g Data if I am 2G customer of Idea, if I am a 3G customer of Idea then 1 GB 3G data). I was using 3G in idea and they told me that I will get 1GB 3G data...but ..hehehehhe...guess what?...correct!... I got 1GB 2G data....!
