so basically it's wireless till the local cable operator and then it gets wired.

it would still have crappy latency i guess and network congestion would mean crappier speeds?

Something like that, only, as mentioned, Mukesh is proposing to upgrade and/or rebuild the networks. Same as we were, only he already has several tens of billions to spend on it, I don't.

You're also forgetting the new proposed universal service license so that Mukesh will only have to spend 20Cr on licensing instead of 1,866Cr - that's a biggie!

Oh Yes, its the new one due to which Telcos are doing rounds and rounds of meeting with Telecom Minister. How could I forget that.

My Order No is 1000223.I am from Chembur area. Are there really 1000222 people before me?Hope they get the first connection soon.

No, we changed the numbering system after a few hundred orders - there are several hundred pending, but they are not necessarily being done in order because that would not be practical.

Connection Possibility in Feb?

Hope so...:crying:

Lot's of negative news as per his tweets.

Really? Whose tweets are you reading? Most of what I'm complaining about on my personal twitter at the moment is to do with Vodafone having shoddy peering - nothing to do with us... and rage against our (former) lawyers doesn't mean bad news, it just means I don't like them (to put it VERY lightly).

^^ I am bored of checking out some random installation pics of random ISP in a random country. Any real news lately?

News is delivered as I receive it, so if you haven't seen anything newsworthy from us yet...

^^ LMAO. You need not have posted that reply. I merely questioned that to myself and answered it exactly like you did in me mind. Since we are on it, will your installation be exactly like shown in the pics? (This is directed towards you) I am fine if you want to shrug that one off.

In the vast majority of cases, it will be much tidier, as our setup is much simpler. No box on the outside of the house & no extra fiber jack inside - it's not needed because the vast majority of subscribers - at least in metros - live in apartments. Some newer apartment complexes also have battery backups within themselves, so in a lot of cases the separate battery backup unit is not even needed and as such, is optional.

It might look a bit the same as the pictures for people living in bungalows though.

i was referring to your hayai tweets only. the uncertainty about the LCO and other tweets does not augur well about the speedy rollout of connections

I'm afraid I'm lost. I've looked at all tweets going back to January 1st, but I'm not sure what you're referring to. Can you point me at some in particular?
