Modem Problem Please help

Problem :I am using BSNL Type-I modem. While I am using internet some time suddenly modem power light off and automatically on, internet connect disconnected in that time.It happens repeatedly more timesIs it modem Problem?If modem problem I would like to purchase Type-II modem not bsnl.I heared BSNL modems problemWhich one is best Purchase from BSNL or Outside Please suggest
 
1. Replace modem's power adapter and check.2. Reset modem and check.
