Since 2007 August, I have been using Airtel Broadband in Noida (Ac.No. 12928654). For 50 months I have used their 999 unlimited plan, without ever getting any sort of discount. Unfortunately, in September this year, I had to shift my residence to Sector 15 from Sector 35. On Sep 26th this year, I launched a request for shifting my connection (Req.No.4680178). They assured me that it will be done within 3 days. But even after 3 days, no one called me or ever did any relocation. So I called them again. This cycle continued for 2 weeks, and finally I got fed up and on 13th October, I requested them to close my connection. (Req.No. 4711768 & 6309914). I have been calling them every day since launching that request for the deactivation of their services. So far they are refusing to disconnect it. I got the bill for Sep27-Oct26 period, and now I am expecting another one for the Oct 27-Nov26 period. Can anyone tell me what to do? I am even ready to bribe them so that they will disconnect their connection. Thanks,Noida123.

IANAL but this is extreme you are talking about, why would you pay bribe to disconnect your own connection, You are not using the service why bother then ? do one thing call customer care, start a recorder on phone then start by letting em,ployee stating the name get everything on recording like whats the status and all, politely ask for disconnection, also tell that you would not paying the bill for not using the service. Then let the matter rest. dont do anything its their fault. If after sometime they call you or send you a legal notice or something let them know about the recorded conversation .also if required go in airtel gallery and tell them situation and put it all on paper tell them you are not ready tp pay a dime after you moved/disconnected, get a photocopy of this letter signed by manager over in gallery. then relax, ball is in your court, you are not doing antyhing wrong, Also post update on this one..

Thanks for the advice. For sure I am going to use the recorder next time.

did u send them an email?..they have to reply to that plus it will be a sort of a record also that u had applied for disconnection..IMO better than d/c request on phone..

in my case i still have to pay 2100approx (1400 + 700, 700 was thr pro-rata charge even i didnt used thr services , they didnt took my disconnection request as thr system whs on upgrade for a whole month i think) , i emailed thr nodal officer about the issue but i only get a reply that they are giving me 100 off on my bill, thats it. Now what im supposed to do?? After few exchange of emails i asked nodal to give me a number of someone with whom i can talk but no reply from thr side. BTW i used to live in sec-14 noida 😛 , i think i have to visit thr office in noida. grrrrr :bomb:

Emailed 2 times to the nodal office. Didn't received any reply. Then wrote a hard copy mail to the Apellate Officer. Someone called me and told me that my connection will be disconnected within 7 days.

I asked the nodal (after exchanging few emails) to give me a higher official number so i can talk on phone or visit ,no reply from thm. 2100 still due.
