Good days for Sony/sony ericsson.I still dont understand the contribution of ericsson to JV except capital.Sony even tried bring JV up by using its legendary brands (play station, walkman etc..,)
 
joint venture began in 2001. ericsson actually made some very cool devices at that point of time.

one of my friend actually had this phone in the early 2000s. it was astounding for that time.
 
erricson is very good at making telephony things , infact that why Sony had them JV cause erricson was/is good at anything related modern connectivity,they produce towers and allied stuff for all the carriers in India at Jaipur..
 
Haha now if I buy one of their mobiles atleast name is shortened.Earlier it was called "Sony Ericsson Live with Walkman"Now it will be called "Sony Live with Walkman"Damn! But its still a long name!
 

been a SE loyal ever since i started buying cellphones. my first and the best one yet was a w810i that i still miss. the mp3 player was good, the camera was very good, with auto focus and flash and night mode. i wish i still had that. w395 was a nightmare. currently using a g502, decent phone esp for the price i got it for. the 2MP camera on g502 beats many cameras in the range. the fast port, Sony's way to manitain exclusivity has always been a pain the ass.

I like that unique proprietary Mega Bass feature in walkman phones.

But they completely removed it in Xperia phones, due to Qualcomm hardware

Mega Bass rocks big time. Tested them in Bose speakers, iPod (there was no iPhone then) was no where 🙂
 
Sony ericsson has a not so good servicing network in India 🙁 lets see if all stuffs go under Sony, it could be better!
