Am I smelling something else....how much collection Hayai has done till now? I am finance personal and thinking on generating interest on those collection or simply investing or routing to anywhere else to get benefit !!

Customers: If anyone does claim to be a representative of Hayai, please ensure that they can prove it, either by asking me directly or by having them log in to our employees-only website and do not hand over any money unless and until they can generate you an electronic receipt, and ensure that any cheques given are crossed and payable to Hayai Broadband Pvt Ltd only (better still, deposit the cheque directly in to any HDFC branch rather than handing it to the salesperson).
The only collections (wrt money) done till date have been electronic.

It is a blame on Hayai that Hayai has collected money and not providing the connection. If Hayai know that they can not provide the connection then must not collect the subscription...first provide the connection then collect the money. Please accept that it is a complete project management failure at Hayai end. I don't think any one in your team qualified enough or at least PMP certified who know what all the basic things to manage a project. Also, be noted that once you collect the money, you become the liable to customer service as in financial term, you general ledger book own the payable to customer either in service or refund with interest. And here the point on which TRAI issue guieline to have customer service appropriate and you don't have even a customer contatc and office address on website. If any one sue you on the basis of not having registered office address on website, you will be suspect under the fraud....though we all trust you.

It is a blame on Hayai that Hayai has collected money and not providing the connection. If Hayai know that they can not provide the connection then must not collect the subscription...first provide the connection then collect the money.
We can only do so much in that respect. We have a dropdown list of available cities, yet we still get people signing up from other cities and other states by just selecting "Mumbai" and "Maharashtra" from the relevant dropdown and ignoring everything else.
In the event that Hayai *can* not provide the connection, then Hayai refunds the money. Otherwise, all other assumptions are that we *can* provide the connection.
Please accept that it is a complete project management failure at Hayai end. I don't think any one in your team qualified enough or at least PMP certified who know what all the basic things to manage a project.

I'm aware of our obligations, however, the refund provided is for the amount paid and the timeframe for the same is subject to TRAI QoS guidelines. No interest is provided, and no other operator will offer a refund with interest either. Moreover, credit-card transactions have a grace-period anyway as the funds are not delivered to the merchant for several days after the transaction.

Probably a few cents of interest would be generated, but not in our bank account: that would be in the payment processors. The only interest being generated in Hayai's bank account is from money that I personally have put in there in cash from my own pocket. As of now, no payments from customers have reached Hayai's bank account.

Ok, pardon me for stating the obvious, but i need to clarify this..at several places, i have seen NCR mentioned, but Delhi specifically has not been mentioned anywhere(or at-least at most places), and in the poll graph above, i see that it is written "NCR(not delhi)" and "Delhi" has a separate bar..The plan is to launch Delhi and NCR at the same time right?
Let him launch in Mumbai first. We'll worry about NCR later.@ chromaniac - i think it may be the other way round. Noida/Gurgaon have a lot of newly built colonies. Some of which already have ethernet cabling even. also, unlike Mumbai I don't think Delhi has that many cable operators offering Internet. My cable guy used to give some obscure connection named hotwire/primus which was terribly overpriced.
