Nope. Causes huge disappointment at checkout.
Sadly, it has to be done this way. The system doesn't know what additional fees to charge you until it knows what you're buying. The only way around that would be to create a separate product just for first time buyers with the registration fee tacked on.
Tax is always calculated separately in any system anyway, and is charged on the subtotal which can't be known until you're already at the checkout. The only way around this is to include the tax in all the prices and simply mention "tax of 10.3% is included" but I'm personally not 100% sure whether this is allowed in India or not (there are some countries where it's not).
mgcarley, I am sure you know how keen people here on IBF (and elsewhere) are about Hayai, and we would all love to see you succeed especially as it would revolutionize the broadband scene here, and give a much needed kick in the ass to the complacent ISPs that exist today. I assume since today is in a sense the official launch, we would see some print advertisement in the following days / weeks. For now, the people who know of your company are avid tech afficianados such as us on IBF. While we can go on criticizing your website, at the end of the day it's your services that will speak for themselves as far as we are concerned. A bad website on launch day is something we will quite easily forgive and forget, as long as we get the service that you are advertising! However, as soon as you start advertising to the general public, I think it would become very very important to have a extremely good first impression. So in the spirit of constructive criticism, I think it is key that you fix two of the largest flaws of your website:
[*]The design - I think enough people here have commented on the same. Needless to say you need to have a very professional website up. The current one is not.
[*]Simplicity / Ease of understanding - Again, not to stomp on you on day one, but your plans need to be self-explanatory to the extent that an average person (not necessarily a tech savvy person) should be able to understand your plans within say 20-30 seconds, and then be able to figure out which one suits them the most. The way it is right now, I am unable to decipher what plan is what even after checking out your site for 5 - 10 minutes.
[/list]Anyway, I reiterate that most of us are very very pleased to see Hayai finally materialize! Best of luck to you!!
Rather pleasingly, both points you've made are already under control and are being worked on over the coming few days/weeks.

Ok now where the hell is my Hayai Connection!!!! My order page says Delivery Date :- 30/11/1999... That means they are already 12 years late hahaha
😛 ... Anyway MG Congrats on your official launch though the website is butt ugly... Just keep it simple & functional like the other popular websites out there like
Google or
Amazon... No need to do anything fancy... I will try to list some immediate changes in the website that are necessary this very instant!!!!
1) The 1st one is pretty obvious change the drop down menu color to white with black fonts... Plain & simple...
2) Put in actual terms & conditions in the space for terms & conditions while registering an acct... This has legal implications...
3) Make a Actual tariff plan page/PDF like you had stating anticipated pricing...
4) Instead of using the cart payment system it would be much better(for now) to just put up a Interest form in which a customer gives his details & tells you which plan he wants & you contact him for availability & payment details...
5) Have a link to the acct login page on the homepage... Although this is not imp right now but still the only way I could login right now is when I oder a new connection...
6) Last but the most imp thing... Give me a connection here in Sion ASAP!!!!!
😛 ...
1. Designer will do it.
2. We know.
3. We have -
http://www.hayai.in/files/hayai_in.pdf &
http://www.hayai.in/files/hayai_in_trai.pdf. Probably some kind of plan comparison matrix should be built too.
4. It's better to confirm right off the bat. As for registering interest, I will ask to have this implemented separately.
5. That will be done.
6. Pleasingly, we're acquiring a network that allows us to cover Sion.
