hello everybody,Just looking around the forum, for my first post(everybody has a curiosity as of what their first post was, huh?) and the funny thing I found was that I didn't post anything at all for a week after joining. It was an exciting experience to observe how your journey progressed from your first post to your 690th one, and the positive and negative changes that occurred in you, and how do you reverse the negative changes that occurred by emulating the personality you were when you were writing your first post.I found this to be a very good experience, so this thread.Anybody that has fond memories about their life in the forum, are welcome to share.Notice to admin.. If you already know of any such thread in existence, please let me know..cst1992

May be u can merge with "Funny Nature of IBF members" thread.

I used to browse as a member since 2005-ish & joined in Oct 2006... I made a few posts here & there reaching 300 posts sometime in 2010-begin (in 3-4 years).... And even then I used to browse as a guest & login whenever I wanted to post... And now 2000+ posts in the last 1.5 years ....

congrats for the 2000 posts

..or shall I say 2500?

maybe..

i have visited this forum since the date of its formation in 2004..it was hosted on forum4seo (or some similar seo forum) during those days..and registration wasn't compulsory and there were hardly any registered members, i posted as a guest initially then registered in 2005 when chromaniac made it compulsory...as i said in an earlier post.. i was myself looking to create a similar forum..but then found this one and never bothered to create my own..

Indeed. Posting without registering means open access to spam.

Yeah, i too have memories of how i went about here.......and i have posted that quite a few times in other threads too!How i was fed up of cable line & searching for a DTH. During that search only, i was also fed up of MTNL internet. So i was looking for help in both areas. I clearly remember i had CA Final exams just a few days after i joined. And i thought may be slowly i wud not much participate here.......but then the replies to my comments drew me, and then, when i visited the main page, the new topics pane drew me. Especially cricket sections.

Unlike many who came here with reasons, I too have reasons for joining IBF. It had been long since I used to be member of any forum. I used to spend my Online Life till college and later it was limited to Social Medias only. But while searching for modems one day, I came across with IBF and when spend 3-4 hrs found IBF interesting enough to register. After registering, 2 things changed in my life . One is Cable connection replaced by d2h and Reliance Broadband + replaced by MTNL 3G. In short span of time, this forum and its members accepted me with great heart and open hand. So quickly enough I completed 2500 post in 3 months. 🙂

@ Mascot......

Unlike many who came here with reasons, I too have reasons for joining IBF

This sounds technically incorrect though.......1st part of ur statement doesnt go down well with the second part! 😀

Unlike Just like many who came here with reasons, I too have reasons for joining IBF.

Fixed.

I joined to get DTH updates happening in India, around 2005, as I was out of India at that time. Later got busy with many other sections that I forgot DTH section 😀

I joined this forum within few days after BSNL started giving Dataone connections. I don't remember which was my first ID. Though joined to get help regarding few TCP settings, I ended up busy with DTH section. I dont think much personality changes might have occurred to me as I don't pretend to be soft spoken, just for the sake of keeping the ID. This forum helped me to register ids & email ids faster and also gave me lot of typing exercise.
