Every airtel unlimited plan has FUP and retention dept are known for lying

wait till NOV that's the only option ..... after that you will see how a robber turned into Valmiki :TV:

lol ret. dept. will say anything they want they themselves cancelled my Dc req. frwded to their dept. saying connection is retained only so that they could generate false bills ......trusting anything frm airtel is

removing FUP completely looks an impossible task.but... Airtel will come to its "aukat" after the launching of BWA services, and will have to provide higher/reasonable fup limits.

No fair usage policy, for fair number of days (to be decided by Airtel)Say you can download unlimited on weekends! Weekdays, FUP will still apply!

update: later on got a call from migration dept...they wanted to confirm my plan changed.. i asked her abt no fup from november tats what the retention dept promised me... if ur willing to give that i ll change.. i gave her the name of the person i spoke to. she said she will check with them and get back to me. and tats abt it now... and no i sincerely dont believe they will provide any non fup plans... but some of my friends do enjoy non fup plans 1699 2mbps...am gonna try and get this plan if possible... if i do i ll update here. peace.

i wonder why Airtel hogs on with this fup mess, seeing their size BW is virtually free for them. The better way is to do aggressive traffic shaping if they really want to stop the violators...

If they say "Unlimited downloads on weekends" i think the load on their network will be more and ultimately the network may crash!
So not a good idea!

Well MTNL provided 2mbps to all on Sunday's for 2 months. So I doubt Airtel's network will crash

Even if it doesn't crash..it'll definitely slow the borwsing speed of all users i guess !

YOu say "provided"... Does MTNL still provides 2mbps on sundays?

No, it was a free gift for 2 months. i.e. speed boost for every unlimited plan user. While no FUP wud not mean speed boost but just that same speed even if u cross FUP.I think for 1 week of month everyone downloads, I dont think speed reduces that time.

As Airtel successfully throttled torrents for last few months, they can offer you 2mbps unlimited (no fup) As they now have capability to handle most of the down loaders(torrenters), There are few ways to bypass the throttling, but those ways are not free, There is a cost associated with that....

hey friends looks like this rumor is not rumor. it's a truth.. today i am getting full speed and my billing cycle is from 8 to 7... I have downloaded a lot today and speed is still full.. please check if u all are getting the same and tell me A.S.A.P
