If you see the main bsnl web sites they are being upgraded , ( better layout )
and as usual in Govt projects tenders are floated, and the lowest quotation accepted!

Depends on the staff in your particular State/circle. A Franchisee , supposed to visit your house/location. within 3 days.If no response, usual visit to nearest Exchange with documents, such as ID/proof ofresidence, and Last Bill ( if having a Bsnl L/L connection ) may help.Try CC 1500. and ask for Broadband section ) and quote the LeadID number.
 
This is my first time going for will i be able to get it without a landline or is landline a must.....
 
A landline is a MUST. But there are tariff plans, which exempt from Monthly rentals.Also some free calls , or no calls at all. Initially you have to pay at least for one day L/L rent and installation charges and security deposit ( Rs 500/=) for local and std calls.A 3G modem ( for BB in WIFI mode ) also may be available without Landline use./provision.Cost per month will be high + one time cost of USB modem.
 
You need a wire (call it land line) coming to your home to get a wired broadband. That doesn't mean you need to pay for a phone and phone rental. If you choose combo plans, you get exempted from phone related charges and most of the combo plans has free calls too.
 

i have applied for connection on line and none has contacted me yet...so how do i proceed any idea i am in chennai triplicane area......

Are there any plans in chennai with 40 - 50 Gb Fup or atleast 25 - 30with BSNL, from what I can see most home user plans have only 8 GB as the standard Fup
