Tata Sky removed my channels and they can't refund my money too.

Hi guys,I have been using a Tata Sky connection for sometime. and we took this connection mainly for the malayalam channels.From the last few days i have noticed that Tata sky removed 3 malayalam channels. I was under that impression that it might be because of some technical glitch and in the meantime my account balance went low so i recharged yesterday for 301 rs.. I called customer service today to check with them why my channels are not restored and to my surprise i was told that they have dropped these channels due to Viewership rating or something. Immediately i asked them to refund the money i paid yesterday so that i can dump their connection and move to Videocon D2h but the idiots say that once you paid the money we can't refund it.I also chatted with a rep using their Online chat but she was of no help at all. I even told her that i'm going to send them a consumer court notice but she didn't give any heed at all. Seriously Tata Sky service has dropped quite a lot.I Don't know what to do now. Looks like i'm stuck with these morons for 2 months till i exhaust my account balance.

Tata Sky are on a slimming crash course. Your only resort is to exhaust the balance and sell off their dish

They better have back up plans in 2012 cos if our great isro goes dud again ts can pack up and go home.....anyways on the edge now with ts cos if he other mal channels are off I have to get rid of the ts connection...hopefully they will have these channels back soon....and is the stb transferable/saleable?...cos the hd box is what is gonna cos me heartburn if it cant be sold....has somebody sold their stb's before??

Actually, only those who are regular visitors to this forum or one of the other such forums will know that the channels were intentionally dropped. The Ad's indicating notice of termination come only in Indian Express Chandigarh edition and in malayalam paper Deshabimani which is read only by a small section.

I was very excited about TS in April when they added the star HD channels. Now, everyone else has those channels and I don't have my Malayalam channels. :blink3:

Ts really knows how to take the fun out of the game right?? Months ago I was boasting to my friends how wonderful ts service is with its hd channels and how they are gonna be the the number one leader in India and suddenly they decide to make sure your fun is short lived by just dropping the normal sd channels you were watching...really hats off to ts.....

Finally exhausted my Tata Sky balance. Could anyone suggest if I should go for one of those local Cable TV wallahs with a STB (monthly 250/-). Or is there a SP which gives a good number of Malayalam channels?

In Bangalore i don't think local cable will have too many Malayalam channels i just moved from TS to airtel .it is a good option for Malayalam channels. They give 13 Malayalam and 21 Tamil channels. Plus most other channels TS provides
