Pppoe Mode For My Dataone Router?

hey ppl.. wuddup shushub long time no see.. i signed up with dataone and am pretty satisfied with it however creating and dialing a new connection is a drag.. the guys in airtel dont have to.. and it seems that with bsnl too, if u configure your router in pppoe mode, then you wont have to.. however, it doesnt work for me.. i read somewhere on the internet that the pppoe mode does not work with the dataone ul900 connection.. is that true? i tried enabling pppoe in my router but when i restart it says that its not connected.. 🙁 my router is a utstarcom 300rtu
 
thats where i was doing the installation from.. i followed the instructions exactly and it didnt work :-s any ideas? maybe my modem sucks (i know it does but not exactly how much 😛)
 
^ just one query : did you suffix @dataone with user name ?
 
yep... i tried it with both @dataone and without.. it seems that the modem doesnt even try to dial the connection :-sEDIT : I'll try again in the morning.. thanks for the replies 🙂
 
i also use ul900 dataone and first was using PPPoE mode.. it actually used to connect for me but the connection used to last only for 10 min.. now i am using bridge mode and have to dail a connection.. can anyone post how to config for ul900 plan- D-Link ADSL 2+ GLB-502T using PPPoE or PPPoA.. and confirm that it works fine for ul900 plan..
 

oh well it seems that everyone who is using their dataone connection in pppoe mode is facing some problem or the other.. and my connection does dial automatically having placed pon dsl-provider in my rc.local file.. so i guess i'll stick with it...
