Mt 841 With Wifi Speed Slow Access

Recently installed MT841 Type IV ADSL Modem with WiFi for 1Mbps BSNL DataOne Broadband connection under Plan 3300 at Bhubaneswar in the State of Orissa. As per my observation found that the speed of the internet through WiFi is just half of Wired LAN. Generally it should be 20% lesser than wired LAN. I am operating my notebook just 1feet away from Modem. BSNL has already changed the complete set(Modem & WiFi card), but the problem persist. Why it is happening? It is really mystery. All the required parameter of the Broadband telephone line re-checked by BSNL people. I am checking the speed on www.bandwidthplace.com. Please help me to sort-out the issue.

check the speed at another site ( https://testmy.net/ ) and
compare the results . Assuming that the configuration is
correct on the Modem & Laptop ; can you take them to
another computer having dataone connection ( at a friend/
a relative ) and check if you are getting Low speeds ...
