How to convert MTNL 2G SIM To 3G?

Im having a MTNL 2G SIM Card. I wanna convert it to 3G, so tht i can use tht in DATA card.

Can anyone pls tell whats the procedure of converting 2G SIM to 3G? Is there any SMS formats?
 
In MTNL there is no such thing as 2G SIM or 3G SIM. All SIMs are 3G capable and as per what I last heard, they have activated 3G on all SIM cards.You can simply try to put SIM in data card and check if u r getting speeds above 1mbps. If yes then its already 3G activated.
