It Has Been Since 25days That I Apllied For Broadband

friends to your request i decided to transfer to bsnl dataone from alliance broadband which is the worst isp in the world.i am a non bsnl customer so i applied for home ul 900 plus on 11.8.2006.after 8 days i got telephone and then after 3days i got modem of type 4[smart ax mt841]though i apllied for type 1 modem.the line man told i will get my username within 72hrs but 9 days have passed still i havent got my username.when i call the central customer care they say my local area exchange will inform me but when i call the area helpline the customer care incharge told me by seeing online that my application for broadband is pending i will have to wait.he told me that creating a username is of 6 different steps so i have to wait.i asked how many days he told soon.now you guys tell me what should i do its almost time for my first bill.i have heard bsnl speed is far better than alliance and i have tested at my friends office myself but i didnt know that they harass all their new connection customers in this way.
 
I'd suggest to personally contact the commercial officer / AOTR at your Local Exchange to resolve it .
 
i have contacted local officer he said that he could not tell when i will get but he told i will get it
 
Well, i got the connection in 1 day with a new OFC laid to my study room.
 


it has been almost one month and the time for my first bill still i havent got username and password my local jadavpur exchange tells me that as soon as area port through comes from ranikuti exchange they will give my connection but they cannot say when it will happen.when i talked to ranikuti exchange officer they told me that it is not their work they will not send area port through because it is not hteir responsibility.they toldjadavpur exchange should give my coonection they will not .now you guys pleasehelp me out.
 
tell the customer care centre, to take down the complaint, and give u the complaint number. And then keep following up on the complaint #. Do it on the automated phone complaint booking too.
U'r area person is taking u for a ride(maybe in their ageold tradition of getting some tips out of u). If there server needs enhancement, to take care of additional demand, the cust. care shud inform u of that).

Also, they cannot charge u, without first providing the connection. the charging starts from the connection date. Not being in a metro city, has it's disadvantages.

If the port probs the specify are genuine...escalate to higher authorities.
 
they will charge me because they have given me a phone of 900 plus plan through which i am able to make outgoing calls.it has been over 1 month still ihavent got my connection what should i do know i live in kolkata in jadavpur area
 
i have send sms to gm but no steps have been taken yet i am thinking of contacting the corporate office in delhi
 
hi! if they havent provided you with a connection, then they cant charge you.. they cant charge u for services that they havent provided in the first place... if u get a bill for it then u can contact the gm and tell him to correct it.. if he doesnt then consider filing in consumer court.... i would wait for some more time and then file anyway asking for a refund of the amount paid to them.. also there is a suggestion box installed at the office where u can go and drop a complaint.. if i were you then i would do it anyway..
 
Well.. I think that its good that u got the telephone connection in just 8 days. It took me almost 2 and half months to get the telephone connection itself. 😱 After that its more that 15 days and still no broadband. In total its exactly 3 months since I applied for the BB. Called up all kinds of people including my local telephone exchange, Area Manager etc. Everyone is saying that work order has been given but dont know why the lineman is not bringing the modem(now). They had even given the number of the man who is in charge of giving the BB in my area, but that moron wont even pick up the phone.. Well its been a rollercoaster kind of ride and a true test of patience. I would have readily gone for Airtel BB if it was availbale in my area.. Still waiting for the BB guy to turn up. Dont have time to go behind these people because of my work schedules.
 
have you applied through web and where do you live?i faced the same problem and i complained about it to the chairman of bsnl mr a.k sinha through fax.i got my username that day.i faced absolutely the same problem that you faced.now every day the customer care officers themselves call me twice to know whether my connection is working fine or not.
 
I actually live in Australia and i applied for ADSL on 11th July 2006 with Type III modem on monthly rental. It was connected on Saturday 5th of November after long wait and that too non functional Type 1 modem. Now i really hate BSNL from top to bottom.Can anyone please tell me whom can i complain i know my dad cant do it and only i have to take step from here. can i complain to someone in BSNL or not ?
