50 ping --> 500 ping s'pore servers rofl

This is seriously retarded, I used to get 50 ping to sg servers from chennai even about a week ago, but all of a sudden the poing has shot up to 500, and even within chennai it's about 100. WTF bsnl? The sad part is their support staff are capable of handling only two queries: net connection down? Low speed? Despite what I tell them, they just dont seem to get it. Has anyone else faced this problem? I've been using bsnl for about 4 years, this problem has come up before, but it would go away in maybe a day or two. This just totally sucks.
