^ DVB-S2 card will work provided you are directly connecting the cable from your dish to the card and the signals are unecrypted for example all the DD channels on that satellite which DD uses (forgot its name). But since you are using d2h or any other dth service which uses a STB (decryption is taken care by the STB) you will need a card which has either component input or HDMI input to capture the signals transmitted by your STB.
