Alerts from service providers related to National Do Not Call Registry

So now, if I choose START 0, Google and my bank can't send me one-time-use codes? It takes an extremely concentrated variety of retard to come up with this bull.

standard chartered sends me email updates on a daily basis (not individual transactions).

icici only has sms alerts. so that sucks for me.

would see how it works out before i subscribe for category number one.

well that is not how it is designed to be. from what i have read, banking alerts are not blocked at all. but if i am to believe twitter, even banks are not sure if their alerts would be treated as spam by the mobile service providers.

that is the reason why some banks are advising their customers to turn on the setting for banks.

from the image above, i see marketing alerts related to banking and financial sector. it does not talk about updates and alerts from your own bank. these updates are supposed to be excluded from the ban.
 
I think all transaction related messages would continue as it is. But all Promotional messages will be blocked and to unblock them one has to use that 1 code.
 
that is the plan. it would be interesting to see user experiences in the coming day. i would suggest everyone to have everything blocked 😛 or at least the banking segment blocked to see and confirm if they are still getting updates from their banks.
 
Not getting hotmail alert on my mobile.....and i have started 6 also......I also dont get the verification sms to my mobile...Can anybody help me...or anybody with the same problem
 

Guys. HAve this MTS number where i get upto 10 promotional calls everyday and upto 7 promotional sms. Fed up and sent message to join DND list. It messaged me back saying you'll be confirmed in 7 days. 7 days have not passed but still getting calls. So opened NDND website and entered my number. It says you're not on list. Called 1909 to enlist again and it says you are already on list. So what should i do now? Thinking i'll just wait for 7 days before doing anything again.
 
Wait for 7 days. It normally takes about 7 days to update the website.
