Build quality or speed? Are you open to high end or you are working on a budget?

heh. i doubt he is looking for a Motorola Defy type build quality. 😀

----------

i am myself considering buying this. I think it is a very bad idea to use your phone as a USB drive. 😛

I don't know about the one you posted, but i had a transcend flash drive in the past and after a few months, it broke into 3 pieces(it still worked, just the cover(s) came off).Though it seems to be the only reasonable priced USB 3 drive available here.

every company has different models. some would be cheapo quality others would be higher quality. 🙂the simple logic behind my recommendation is that the pricing is very good for a USB 3.0 compatible pen drives. and these do not look the cheapo versions as well.

transcend one is also pretty fast dnt know if it will be faster on 2.0 USB compared to others

I would recommend Transcend too as my experience with them has been very good. They are fast, and they are sturdy enough. If you really want tough ones, go for Corsair Voyager. I don't quite agree that HP is sturdy. They are flimsy

the HP model linked above is made up of metal 😛my own personal experience with HP pen drives? not very good. they are not a SSD company. so they probably outsource it to some chinese company and sell rebranded stuff. transcend and SanDisk and corsair are into ssd market and are likely to have better products. 😛

Oh well, never mind. Didn't bother checking the link as the naming convention was pretty similar to what they have for their cheap quality stuff. HP sells rebranded PNC stuff. That's been the case for long.

Indiaplaza is running a promotion on Pen Drives. Buy a 4GB Transcend Pen Drive for Rs 599 and get an 8GB Pen Drive free.
