Scheme of Govt. Employees

Hi All, I want to know if there is any scheme for govt. employees ?? I heard about some 20% waiver of charges for govt. employees.I want to get Home 500 plan in which night 2-8 is unlimited...

bsnl broadband charges 20% discount for Government and Public sector employees. I am getting discount for Combo 500 Plan and monthly bill Rs.400/-+tax.

All broadband connections through phones in the name of serving / retired, state / central / PSU employees are eligible for 20 % discount on usage and rental. You need to collect an application from exchange, get it signed by your head of department and give it back to exchange. From the next bill you will get 20% off on rent and extra usage (if any). I think you are mentioning Home Combo 500 as Home 500 has been discontinued. For Home 500 plan, you will get Rs. 100 off and you need to pay only Rs. 400 + 10.3 % tax.I think it is better to opt Home Combo 600 which gives 2.5 GB day time usage than Home Combo 500 which gives 1.5 GB day time usage.

circular of BSNL:Sub: Promotional Scheme of Broadband for Government Employees.In order to boost the acquisition and usage of Broadband among governmentemployees, the competent authority has approved 20% discount on Broadband Servicecharges (usage and rental) for Broadband connections provided to Central Government/State Government/ PSU Employees category. The scheme is to be launched from1st December 2008 across BSNL network and is a continuous scheme.The serving and retired government employees applying for Broadbandconnection under this scheme, should furnish an undertaking countersigned by theirDrawing and Disbursing Officer regarding their bonafide along with the application. Incase of retired employees, an attested copy of the Pension Pay Order should be submittedalong with the application. The application should be marked as "FOR GOVERNMENTEMPLOYEES SCHEME".The scheme is also applicable to existing Broadband customers who areserving/retired government employees subject to their furnishing an undertaking asdetailed above. The discount of 20% in Broadband Service charges for the existingcustomers will also be applicable if they apply, from the month of such application.You are requested to kindly give widespread publicity to this scheme throughmessages in local TV channels, telephone bills, broadcasting SMS, IVRS etc in additionto print and electronic media so as to push the services.
