Airtel disconnected my DSL connection on 2nd Sept (I got to know this after calling them. The reason varies from a) Voluntary disconnection (FALSE, I never asked it to be disconnected) b) All new connections have been terminated c) Double profile created for your connection.Since that day I have been running around trying to get it fixed. Half of the times the customer care says its reactivated and it is working as per their records. The other times they say its still being reactivated by their backend team.I have registered numerous complaints via various channels - calling the customer care, emailing the nodal officer and airtel presence, posting on their Facebook page. Nothing seems to work. At least thrice they have promised to send somebody over by xx time and no one comes. I had to take a leave from my office to wait for the Airtel person, but no one ever shows up.Can anybody suggest what to do now? Any alternate ISPs I can switch to now?

right. i have a similar problem. i had applied for a migration back in june. they did nothing for two months. and they suddenly migrated the connection. i got multiple calls in the last 10 days. i told them to cancel the request as it was already too late. and still, they migrated the connection based on a request filed in JUNE. and i have been trying to get that connection restored to the original address for a week now. the connection is migrated just in their systems. no wiring has been done on the new address. so it is basically lying dead and i am of course paying for it.

Similar story for me .. happened on 24th August. Landline was deactivated, IPTV+BB workingnew connection, connected in July 1st weekThey have asked for resubmission of documents

they do not even know what telephone numbers we are talking about here.

LOL, anything is possible with customer service!

When I had mailed airtel presence on 5th September: Dear Customer,This is to inform you that your concern has been noted and our team isworking on a resolution. At the outset, we apologize for theinconvenience faced by you. We will get in touch with you for furtherdetails of your concern as the need arises.

If this is that database bug that I feel then I have a feeling that next month, we will see complaints that "Airtel sends bill for DISCONNECTED line!" 😀

I have received emails from their nodal officer that the complaint has been resolved and the connection is working. Without confirming with me, they closed all my complaints. I had to reopen many of them. I have lost half my hair in the last week :scare:Anyways, thanks for tweeting this link. The DSL no. is 080 4090 2931 if anybody from Airtel decides to visit this thread. I don't care if I receive prank calls, there is no phone hooked to this no. :beee2:

of course they are going to send a bill. I don't have any intention of paying unless they solve this problem and DONT charge for the time it was down!

I better call Reliance customer care about my own bill... I do not think mailing the nodal officer is going to magically resolve my problem 😀

I have spent more time on phone with Airtel Customer Care last week, than I have spent on phone with my girlfriend!

had a talk with the airtel guy today. the reason i was given for the mess with their customer care is that they are still working on sorting out the pending complaints during the period their backend was down. still does not justify the mess we have seen especially with complaints that are not even relevant anymore. i also found out today that they are not delivering new IPTV connections right now. there is a waiting period of 10-15 days because of the backlog.

UPDATE: Finally got fed up after 2 weeks of no action from Airtel. They even had the guts to close ALL my service requests without any resolution! Anyways, I have switched to ACT Broadband, hope it is not as bad as Airtel was. Now just have to dispose of my brand new Airtel WIFI modem!

nipun_jain nd I am trying to get my line DC fr 15 days now and its not happening lol 😀
