hi...everyone..

I am facing very problem in bb conection.
I have a 750home UL - 512kbps plan runnning bsnl type 2 adsl2+ cpe/ide modem connected to a line through a splitter.

I am facing very freq. disconnection problem in the connection (mainly during 7am-2pm, daily)

Here are my speed test results.

https://www.speedtest.net

another results....

here are my Line values

SNR (Down) - 38.0db
(UP) - 16.5db

Attenuation (down) - 35.5db
(Up) - 19 db

Connection Standdard - BiPlus

MOdem:

Model - AN1020-20
Firmware ver: 10.4.3.12.13

What should i do now in this case. the connection is gettin worst....??

Also i just check....the disturbance that was coming in the landline phone has gone now. the dial tone is clear now.

Your attenuation values are too high. This is probably the reason for the frequent disconnects. See if you can change your modem mode to G.DMT for stabler connects.

i cant see where can i do that. i have been told that i have to uncheck the adsl2+ option in dsl menu in login page.
but i cant find it where it is. and what is GDMT.

I have menu name "DSL MENU"
Under that i have 2 submenus namely;
Management server
CWM Parameters.

???

Open your modem's login page, go to wan settings, you may have to click edit, there look for something like "mode", in mode uncheck adsl2+ option, leaving G.DMT enabled. I don't know the exact steps for your device, as I am not familiar with it, but the above mentioned method should be the same more or less, with a few changes here and there. Also, I remember you having noise in your line, if so, get the wiring checked.

nw i finally did change to g.dmt from adsltwoplus-auto mode.
the option wasnt in wan but was in internet connection>adsl>basic attributes.....

but on changing the mode......my snr value horribly dropped to 7db & 0db.
now its stable between 16.5db (down)

whenever i try to download something from internet (mediafire) from IDM...
it goes fine but after a 2-3min the connection gets disconnected. this is horrible to experience lyk dis.

I used to have a SNR value between 35 to 38.5 db (down)
and also attenuation didnt changed a bit. in the day it was 35db and now its 31.1db (down)

If that is the case, then it seems like a line issue. How old is your line ?

i have a copper line (which is kind of flexible, a bit more than the usual- if that matters.). the pole that m connected to is just by my home. and the wiring is 6 months old.the wiring goes straight to my room to an adsl splitter. no cuts or joints.also i have a internal wiring in my home (5yrs old) but im not using that. though it has a point to connect any phone line outside my house near the pole but have twist the wire in the internal wiring.there is no use of changing to mode to gdmt. not a single value drop in attenuation also snr value keeps changing freq and its not above 30 now.still the same thing goingalso have apllied the tcp/ip optimizer tweak too.

tho using a mixed dns...is not an issue to get freq disconnections. m i right???

----------

the dns client and dns relay servers are the same in the login page as bsnl's defaults like 218.248.255.197/194

156.154.70.1, (ISP Neustar )
193.74.208.65 ISP Scarlet
How you selected these as DNS ? One in U.S and another in Belgium !

In Modem DNS select Obtain DNS automatically or
enter google dns 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4
Save Reboot wait for 2 minutes.

Also in TCp/IP properties ( page in network/Lan )
Select obtain automatically
or enter above values.
Apply Save.

feedback.

I have selected these dns's from ma personal exp. and namebench.

i was on google dns and open dns. i noticed no speed up.
so tried experimenting and a little research on google. i tried these and using these combination m gettin a diffrence. can see and feel it also. i dont know but its working for me better than open dns and google dns.

page loads up instantly (any page) - there is litterally no "Lookin up www.XXXX.XXX" notification down the browser. i only see "waiting for "www.XXXXX.XXX" down the browser as soon as i hit the enter button. (provided there is no heavy download running which is consuming all your bandwidth)

i can also surf pages while downloading at full bandwitdth -512kbps.

(this experrience is excluding the disconnection problem m facing from week).

BTW. @essbebe

ur sayin to change the dns in the login page. right? if that so. i have a diffrent login page of my modem so it has
DNS Client & DNS relay,

i tried to change thier DNS in the both sec from bsnl's defaults to Open DNS.
But i stopped ma internt (the green light stopped showing up)

are you sure buddy, if i change it to google DNS so still the green light would be on.

yes have done that. also have done complain for the landline. still no one came to rectify it. and the thing sde says that unless the problem in the line or phone is not rectified it would be useless to comlain for the connection. I have to get the phone fixed first.2day the line man called up and said he is coming to rectify the falut in the line. but he didnt came.
