A friend has been asking donation for this on his fb account fr sm time now 😛

heh. i would assume you are talking about xperia arc. xperia arc is a bad device to purchase at its current price tag. hopefully, it would become cheaper when this new model launches in india.

ya...but I dont like SE much..as they break easily quality is totally crap. Had used w700 back in college screen broke off during warranty and I did nt even drop the device as much as I have dropped my Nokia.....the service centers of SE are totally crap the guy changed the entire cell phone parts to try and figure out whats wrong with the screen even the battery cover and the body and it did not help finally had to sell off the device bought for arnd 14000 sold for Rs 3000 🙁 . The Walkman headphones were pretty good though probly one of the best.

right compare a 3-4 year old model with the new generation model. if i start thinking like that i would still buy Dell manufactured hardware. i am actually considering buying a samsung 7 series laptop if they are priced nicely in india.

that does nt change the fact that CC/ SE service center is totally crap here....

the same would probably apply to most other operators. my experience with HTC? the engineers were not polite. and the charges were too high. around 1000 bucks just for a soldering job. my experience with Motorola? the lady at the receptionist desk was pretty much yelling at customers waiting with their defective phones. my experience with Nokia? the service center simply refused to check my device because it was a CDMA model. told me that they only handle GSM units. the problem was however rather simple. the speaker had died and i needed it to be replaced. have no experience with Samsung. Hopefully I would not have to visit them in the near future for my Nexus S.

hehe lot of experiences there 😛I had problem with Nokia service center ppl too. I had bought a new battery for my cell and the celll kept restarting asked the retailer to help me he said go to service center...and nokia service center tells me to go back to the retailer and ask for replacement to which the retailer did not agree and Nokia service center did not even check the battery and were actually laughing since unfortunately at the time of taking to the service center the battery did not show any sign of problems 😛 anyhow I dnt knw what the problem was it seems to have gon since then ..... 😛had a frnd who bought that Motorola razor there was sm problem with the device and he said he would go the service center every day and find many ppl having the same problem as his and shouting at the customer service ppl to repair their cell 😛

heh exactly the same experience here. the only difference is that friend had Razr 2. 😀most other people at the center had RAZR and SLVR devices.

I think he also had SLVR and not razor 😛 could remember razor easily 😛

i have owned two SLVRs and one RAZR phones. love all three of them despite crappy software. Nokia feature phones actually have pretty good software.

Nokia is dam laggy now...and their new win OS looks crap....saw one on HTC I think......

you need to check out mango preview videos. they are pretty darn impressive actually. the only problem is the lack of support from google. i mean if you use hotmail and skydrive and other microsoft services, WP is for you. for me, android is good because i have been relying a bit too much on google services. i am actually in the process of migrating from flickr to picasa because flickr does not even have an official app for android which sucks.

I do need google search and gmail if not anything else currently from google services 😛

that is nothing. i am talking about services like: google mapsgoogle maps navigationgoogle latitudegoogle plusgoogle gogglesetc etc. you would have to use microsoft's alternatives if you get a WP7 device. google does not launch a lot of apps for WP.
