MTNL Mumbai 3G Roaming Charges applicable if used in Bangalore?

Hey guys,I have recently shifted to Bangalore and realized that the BSNL 3G plans do not have an unlimited option. My parents will be coming over in a couple of weeks from Mumbai. I was wondering if I could get an MTNL 3G data sim with the Rs.750 odd unlimited data plan and whether I can use it here without any roaming charges applicable in the BSNL network.Has anyone been able to do the same without losing any money on account of roaming?Thanks.
 
I assume yes...as roaming with BSNl is free..also you will get better speed as BSNL has better network - HSUPA.
 
practically they dont charge for data packs used in roaming.....like ur case...but on the safer side jus make sure...they dun charge you for data packs...MANY PEOPLE ARE USING IT IN ROAMING WITHOUT EXTRA COSTS...... 🙂
 
MTNL's Delhi site clearly mentioned about free roaming. Please note that in MTNL 6 months unlimited package, they provide 800GB but if you cross that they won't charge you. Here is the catch, this might not be applicable while roaming and 800GB will be the limit.

I say that there wont be any 'ROAMING CHARGES' for datacard as i am suing delhi sim in many places while i am in roam, chennai, bangalore etc...

they never cut any balance...
 
Dude feel free to use data card in Bangalore. There will be no roaming charges..MTNL is not private player who has lot of hidden things.

I am using a MTNL Mumbai Sim(4500 for 6 months) in a small town with BSNL 3G & no roaming charges & am getting 3Mbps+ speed 😀 ...
 
In which state are you using it? Because it seems MTNL Mumbai and BSNL Maharashtra has come collaboration for free roaming. I am not sure about the other states. So if you can confirm that, it would be great!
 
I recently travelled to UP and then to Uttrakhand, i was billed for data usage during roaming.

I am using this MTNL delshi SIM in chennai..and currentlyon 4500 plan..and no balance is now being deducted....

for some it is being deducted . reasons could be:

if they send sms for databalance...or
and when ever they reeive a sms in roaming...

some people are complaining above two reasons....really wondering..reading a message inbox costs in roaming ?
can somebody conirm whether receiving a sms in roaming is chargeable...?
