Presently in India we dont have STB Portability.... You have to wait some more months to get that.... if your sure to get rid of Dish TV then buy the Reliance as a new subscriber...

Thanx mate but then i have to get all the things such as setup box and antenna frm reliance right or will my exiting dishtv setup box n antenna will work?

@lihkinYou have to buy STB & DISH From Reliance but you can keep your existing cable line, reliance cable you keep it as spare.... ---------------Can anybody clarify this dishes is common for all Operators... or each direction operators separate dish?

If you talking about access RDTV on Dish TV it is not possible. Dish TV has MEPG - 2 & RDTV has MPEG - 4. So dish tv cant shows video from RDTV but u can listen just audio from RDTV, no video.

You need Mediaguard CAM (my guess) to access RDTV DTH through an MEPG - 4 / above of it technology FTA receiver included CAM feature.

I tried for buying a viewing from RDTV by mail them but they just sent me their existing entry offer links. If you too want buy a RDTV viewing card then mail to their cc & also send the mail adding TRAI emails.

Good way is direct buy RDTV.

If u use portability you cant use few interactive services from RDTV properly. It happens & adviced by experts. You need to redirect your dish to RDTV dish way.

Dish TV portability is waste but I thought they will allow to subscribe their true pack but not at all. Here were few members who's doubt is right. Dish tv only ready to give cam users 90 channels only & it are paid.@ xLike u I had also many doubts like u & many were same too. Now after reading many information & depreciate my eyes I know many things & many doubts are clear but I made my eyes little weak cause of madness for FTA & DTH. 🙁

Actual Story... what i understand....

DISH Freedom Offered by DISH TV.... you have to pay separte charges to view the Free Channels... once you pay Rs.990 for CAM you get with 12 Months subscrition to view the Free Channels offered in NSS6 (Dish TV Freq.) Later for 6 months Rs.250/- and 12 months Rs.450/-

I think this is not DTH Portability like Mobile Operators...

We should get some stronger than this like we can Move to other DTH provider with our existing STB (either TATA, DISH, D2H., etc., under any platform HD or DVR).... just changing the alignment of dish and Viewing Card....

True. They dont offer true packs through it. I thought they do but they dont.
