ManUtd beat Arsenal 8-2!!

hmm,.. arsenal's defeat of this margin was a consequence of a lot of things, key players leaving, injuries, suspensions, and defeat to liverpool at emirates.it all culminated to this 2-8 defeat.also to say that manchester united has a better youth academy is wrong, i believe arsenal ships just as many young players if not more than any other club in england.also EPL is still one of the most competitve leagues. look at the spanish league. its Barca, 3-6 points behind them Real, and then i'm guessing atleast a 10-15 points of difference when valencia . villareal, sevilla, athletico join in. look at last year's english league, most successful english club liverpool was 6th, and man city and tottenham both making the top four clubs run for their money. as a liverpool supporter i was disappointed, but of the 2-3 years of following the premier league, it was one of the more interesting seasons ( 2nd only to when liverpool came 2nd to man uts , xabi's last season here 😛). and this season looks even better.

Get SRK to coach Arsenal. After all, he managed to get his team turn such a loss in the opening game(s) to a victory in the final

Barca won almost all tournaments last year. real Madrid did not win any tournament (may be one small tournament)
King's Cup. They beat barcelona.

Just like City beat United in the FA Cup last year.

The difference is that there are way too many players in man U who join in the youth team and continue playing and retire from the same team. ManU is the only such club in EPL

Paul Scholes is probably a good example?

i am just a paul scholes fan. i have his 18 number t-shirt. got a relative to purchase it for me when she was in UK for official work. 😀

not much interested in soccer these days. though i would prefer ManU over Chelsea or Arsenal. 🙂

i looked wikipedia, and found about 5-6 young players from their own youth academy (who are in first team squad of 45-50 players) in both arsenal and man utd. and i can name 5-6 from liverpool as well. chelsea and man city have different policies, i believe.

barcelona on the other hand has an exceptional youth academy, also Ajax.

Arsenal has a killer youth academy but wenger's policies make sure that the good players always leave the club. ManUtd just buys some child prodigies(like ronaldo and rooney) from unknown clubs and nurtures them. Chelsea on the other hand favours experience over age most of the times and has a awesome scouts. I don't know much about liverpool though. They mainly use transfers to build their squads.

^^exactly, liverpool has a decent youth academy now thanks to rafa,.. kelly, flannagan, shelvy, pacheco, downing are a few new names from liverpool's academy.gerrard and carraghar are some old ones ;p
