Sun Direct,the Direct-To-Home service provider from Kalanithi Maran promoted Sun Television Network, today said that it has surpassed seven million subscriber base. "Sun Direct passed the seven million subscriber mark in 39 months (since its launch) to consolidate its position as second largest DTH player", Sun Direct said in a statement.
This year, Sun Direct offered many products to new and existing subscribers like the "Cinema Plus" pack which features all day long
commercial-free movie services from Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada languages. "Continuing our market defining trends has taken us the past seven million mark. This landmark has only spurred further aggresive augmentation of our customer interface capabilities and channel offering capacities and channel offering capacities and we are confident that this will help us maintain our position as the country's Value for Money Entertainment DTH player in the market", Sun Direct CEO Mahesh Kumar said.
The Chennai-based firm also said to enhance its services to customers, the company has also made "significant" investments in the customer service platform to setup a state-of-the-art customer service cell with technology provided by IT firm Cisco.
