Misinformation and wrong pratcies by TataSky - Need help

Hello All ,I had a Standard DTH in Bangalore. After 1 year I ugraded to TS-HD. I requested them to buy back the Standard box but i was told it's not the practice but I could move it to any of my relatives place.Now I tought of moving the Standard box to Mysore and when contacted the Tata Sky people they are asking 500 for Activation charges.(400 Activation + 100 if the cable is more 🙂 ).The facts are as follows1. I moved all the expuipment myself (dish+box etc)2. Except cable (about 15 ft in length) everything else I had with me.In this case I am not sure how can they charge 500 rs for activation. Infact I was told it's 125 rs and i agreed to pay that but on the day of installation they are asking for 500 Rs.Lot of funda was given why 500 for activation but I am not convinced. I have also recently relocated with my TS Dish, STB & Cable Wire with in chennai....they charged me only Rs. 125....this happened during the month of March......
 
Only difference is, I am not moving to Mysore. I still have a HD connection in Bangalore and the old one I am getting activated in a difference address. I am not sure how it attracts 500 for activation in this case. Also now I have been told by one person that the information given to me(that TS won't take back the standard Box) is wrong I would have given it back and got 300Rs to my account!!!Thank you for the response
 
I think you should take all this matter to nodal team of TS. Just Mark a mail and ask them written clarification. If these charges are nowhere written, then it will keep chaning from person to person.
