Videocon D2H DTH: Clarity Issue

I think such a minor problem, with a particular channel can be taken with a pinch of salt......dont u feel that way?

it is not with particular channel, its with all the channel, i mentioned before some channels just to show example were scrolling will be there....It happens with all the channels including their demo which is on ch.100

Seriously, i have never noticed it on scrollers ever!

Technically its true. When DVR (live) record a program & when user change channel, dvr set back to start position with provided memory (120 mins by default) & it take time to reset for next program.

It doesnt happen with Jaymin & he is lucky but he doesnt accept. If u wish exchange ur box with my box I am ready Jaymin 🙂 😀

My doubt is ur dvr box has latest software / old software?

If u have option audio player in menu then u have old software & maybe the problem not occurs to u.

if u off auto recording facility u never face the problem but u also lost facility of live record program pause / fw / bw etc. which is not profitable thing.

HD Zapper & Sd Box cant face this type of problem because of no recording facility. Its open secret knowww...

It looks like I have faced the first problem with my hd pvr. Recordings got deteted. The space icon shows 97% now but the green color level is at the 60% mark where it should be. Defeinitely some fault with the software. Any remedies to this problem ?

Its only design just reffer figure.@ pkThey didnt replaced u old software box & upgrade when they install replaced box? Directly the hand you over software upgraded box?

@ xmen....Even my recordings got deleted yesterday. Not all though. Few individual once off records stayed. But the series went missing altogether! 😕If this happens again, i m gonna complain. I can understand if they update & the whole Hard Disk is wiped off. But here the series is gone & once off recordings are still there!

I have my own problem with my dish tv service. I have samsung full hd 37 inch tv and also dishtv(not hd) bought about two and half years ago. Until recently i was using my local cable tv service as it was cheaper and he was providing almost 200 channels for just 170 rs at excellent picture quality. But since recently a technical issue cropped up where by the tv started receiving intermittent white snow like horizontal waves resulting in my hathway stb burnout(hathway stb was connected to my local cable tv service). Since cable guy was not attending to this problem, I had connected to my dish tv to my tv. ButI am not at all satisfied with the picture quality. THE PROBLEM IS MOST OF THE CHANNELS PIXEL FORMATION IS THERE WHENEVER THERE IS FASTER MOVEMENT SCENE IN THE PICTURE OR BRIGHT LIGHT COMES IN THE PICTURE. IS THERE ANY WAY TO SOLVE THIS PROBLEM? SOMEBODY PLEASE HELP ME. IT IS QUITE ANNOYING TO SEE THAT KIND OF PICTURE BY SPENDING LOT OF MONEY. OR DO I NEED TO GO FOR HD SERVICE WITH MY DISH TV? I WILL BE HAPPY IF THE PROBLEM IS SOLVED WITH MY EXISTING STB. MY SIGNAL STRENGTH IS AROUND 90 AND QUALITY IS AROUND 85 TO 89

U shud have gone to Dish TV section! But anyways, u shud go for HD services to do justice to widescreen TV. SD channels will look odd on such TVs.

Oh so it was not a one off thing for me only. I didnt knew exactly what happened as I was out of station that whole day and when I came home my father complained that the box just wont start that day. So he had to start (mains power on-off) once or twice and then it started.(maybe there was a update going on but my dad would not have understood it)I was thinking maybe that might have caused it.There was only 16th dec recording of bb5 and rest all were gone.Even the one off small records.

thanks a lot jaymin. Should i put my stb in 4:3 or 16:9 mode and please tell me the same about my tv setting also(mine is a 37 inch full hd lcd tv and dish non hd sd stb to get the maximum clear output with present setup. thanks in advance.

If u put it in 4:3 mode, then u will see it in a square on ur rectangular screen. In other words, u will see huge black strips on either side of ur screen. That appears even more awkward than seeing a stretched image.@ xmen.....Actually in my case, few movies that i had recorded 2-3 weeks back have stayed intact, but the recent recordings were lost!

thanks jaymin. So you mean to say that i should put both my sd dish stb as well as my 37 inch full hd lcd tv in 16:9 mode?

Actually, its upto u to decide, as to whats ur preference. I myself dont like watching with the black bars on the Screen. But there are many others, who prefer watching those bars. They dont like to watch stretched images. So ur choice! 🙂

Hey guys! i am sorry was got Transfer so was busy with my Shifting & etc., I got installed my DVR in VIZAG (Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh) but the problem remains same... i asked the Area Manager also he said the problem is with the DVR only... now every time i change channel the movie is freezing for more than a second now...
