Hello,

I have 3 problems here. First problem is most pressing. For 2nd is there any other solution?

[*]I want to access Apache running on my Linux server from the internet for which I will need to forward port 80 from my 192.168.1.2. I am using Teracom.
[*]My plan gives me dynamic ip. To connect to my server from the internet I guess I will need to register with dyndns.com and then even though the ip changes I would be able to connect with the name.
[*]How to do the wireless set up for Teracom?
[/list]Thanks in advance

1. Ther e are many port forwarding guides available with screen shots at portforward.com. Try Nokia Siemens C 2110 model (has similar interface)2. Yes, try DynDNS or NO IP.

Thanks for the reply Milind. I am not new to port forwarding and I did it in Teracaom too but it does not work. When I http to my modem ip , instead of showing me the Apache page from the forwarded port, I see the admin interface of the modem . Where as if I http://192.168.1.2 , it shows the Apache page. How do I test the port forwarding ? Is it only by http://external ip? Or are there any other tests? I do not know what I am missing.

I wanted to attach the screenshot, but can not locate where to attach file in this application.

I wanted to use the "Wake-on-LAN" feature in my PC and NIC and send "Magic Packers" over the Internet to my Router and have the Port Forwarded to my Desktop. I tried all the recommended ways to do it, but, the Teracom router just does not forward any packets to the UDP ports. However, when I am in the same subnet, the Wake-on-LAN works since the router is only dealing with internal IP addresses. For the Magic Packets I am using the external IP address that I find using - ping -r 1 Yahoo! Can anybody tell me whats the secret about Port Forwarding and Wake-on-LAN over WAN? Thanks a million.
