i have a similar problem though my friend living in the same sector was also told the same. i do not know anyone else in this area. though i have been told multiple times that they do not provide 4mbps in this region.

i dont pay my 2month bill , i told cc i dont pay if my plan not upgrade,my 4th request is pending they said wait 4 next bill cycle, see whats happen at 8th august

not paying the airtel bill is not going to hurt them. it might come back to bite you in the arse at a future date.

exactly, he is inviting problem his home by not paying.

It happens due to fact that some area have limited ports for 4 mbps connectivity... If all of them are occupied, they will not be able to put you on 4mbps plan...

Currently, on 4Mbps plan with a FUP of 10GB. Called CC today n asked them to migrate it to 4 Mbps with a FUP of 30GB. However, the CC said, Airtel is upgrading the systems n they have limited plans to offer. The said upgrade will end on 22nd July' 11. After that, they might come up with some good plans....Lets see wht happens.

I seriously hope that is true but the latest plans are a step in the right direction.

Go With Reliance(http://www.rcom.co.in/Rcom/personal/internet/wired_postpaidplans.html) much better if its available in ur area or else tata communication (http://www.tataindicombroadband.in/tariffs_business.html) or Tata teleservices (http://www.tataphoton.com/tata-photonpro-broadband-service.aspx) if they are available in ur area.......Last option is bsnl (http://bsnl.co.in/service/dataone_tariff.htm) hope its available in ur area......

Night Booster Zoom 1 sounds decent among Reliance plans.
Infinity 2.5 Mbps PLUS is what I'd prefer from TATA Indicom but it's like Rs. 5000 /- :-(
BSNL FTTH (FiBro 2) sounds good but it's like Rs. 4000 /-
