Connecting 2 Pc's Thro Mtnl Dsl-502t Modem

Hi guys- a li'l networking problem..I use MTNL TriBand service(256Kbps)- they hav given me D-Link DSL-502T modem ADSL Modem which has a USB & Lan Port for connecting to PC.Im on Bridge mode.I hav 2 PC's - one i wanna use exclusively for downloading stuff(gonna get Unlimited net soon)Wat i want is to hav Internet connectivity on both PC's & b able to connect the 2 PC's also ( for transferring files from one to another)Since the DSL-502T has both USB & Lan Ports- i was thinking of connecting PC-1 to its USB port & PC-2 on its Lan Port.Now my Q is:-1) whether i wud b able to get Net access on both ?2) wud i able to transfer files b/w the 2 PC's as if they were on a LAN(100Mbps) & NOT be limited by the speed of the MTNL connxn (256Kbps)

aare this is old one:-Only one can be active at a time .it can be either LAn or USB.It is possible to access net via both the pc .The thing you need is a switches or Hub [Go for switches]Then you got to connect the Hub or switches to router.YOu can connect both the pc's via hub or switches on LAN.Once lan is setup correctly you can access internet from both pc simultaneously plus transfer file from one pc to another on LAn.Hope this helps You.

although, i think there's one more way..
Connect pc-1 to USB,Pc-2 to Lan of Modem (i dont need Net connectivity simultaneously
Now when i need to set lan b/w PC-1 & PC-2; just unplug the ETH Cable comin from pc-2 to modem & attach to PC-1 !
Shud work, shudnt it? ( Ofcourse im assuming here that the same type-i.e Crossed,Patch of ETH cable is used to connect Pc to modem & PC-to-Pc..? is it so..?

Come on man There is one more way :-
how about just shifting the Lan Rj45 connector between the Two pc's i.e
deattach from back[From lancard] of the pc1 to pc2 😛
No need to use usb port.Regarding Pc topc connect ,Man you can setup
HDD to HDD transfer weekly that gives you speed of One 700mb movies
in one minute. :lol:

heh..heh... The 2 Pc's r in diff. rooms ! Can u tell me whether the same type of ETH cable is used to Connect PC-modem & PC-PC ??

to connect 2 PC's via LAN card u need a cross-over cable. d cable used 2 conect modem 2 pc is called a serial cable.
