Got new Router [ ASUS RT-N13U rev.B1]

Thanks @netant for the review.I purchased this router today at CTC. Price was 2950/-. Mfg date was June 2011 and even it has British power adapter. I was worried whether it is B1 version or not.There is sticker on the pack which says the Hardware version as B1. I will post some of difficulties I faced later.
Naa, I bought it from eBay.in from a seller based in Bangalore. It's imported in India by Rashi in June 2011. Pack piece.
Got a nice deal on eBay.in so bought it from there instead of buying locally. Saved almost 500 INR!
Ya, well I don't have a spike buster so I'll have to buy that converter. Will head out for a search tomorrow.
Please post a tutorial if you can. Else i will have to go through the whole process on DD-WRT wiki 🙁
FYI i just purchased this for 2.5k on Homeshop18 and awaiting delivery. Can't wait to start downloading torrents on it 😀

I think its better to wait for few days to find out if any hardware defects are there before using DD-WRT firmware. My router was defective and is at Rashi Peripherals by 3 rd day.

Yes you can use it. Note VPI/VCI for Airtel is 1 & 32.

Hi,am planning to get this router to serve two purposes. Can someone tell me if this router (either with the original firmware or dd-wrt )would allow Medi sharing while on repeater mode...also can it be used for DoLNA teaming to devices like my tv etc....Would be great if someone could offer some other options as well.

Yes possible with stock firmware in repeater mode, but stock fimware lags like hell for changing setup.
A russian firmware mod (Ðдаптированные прошивки ASUS RT-N13U.B1 Router) is very stable and gives u a lot of options including mini DLNA - may not work on all TVs. Reading documentation can be a problem. Also 3g support has been compromised.
DD-WRT is still very emotional on this model and does a lot of drama as of this writing v 18777. Older dd-wrt versions are a bit stable but lacking all but the basic features.
Better to go for RT-N16 if you have additional 2k budget.

This router has begun to frustrate me. First 2 weeks, worked like a charm, now I can't get torrents to go beyond 10 kBps. Sucks really. I wonder if flipkart delivered a faulty piece to me. Any experience with their 30day replacement thingy ?
Is the router still giving you this problem? Did you try updating the firmware? Did you try replacing it? What download speed are the others getting?
