Lucky them... I cna't wait for Airtel to update their plans.

Well i wanted a connection having atleat unlimited night downloads and about price range of 5-600 . I had rounded on either bsnl or connect .

Currently bsnl is giving a plan with dload limit 1 gb night (2-8) free @ 256 kbps @ Rs 500 . Where as connect was offering 400mb limit 11pm-9am free @ 512 kbps @ Rs 550 (also avail 800 mb limit at Rs 660). I opted for connect as i think it certainly was a better option in terms of plan .

Now i hav had a few connection woes as the connection seemed to disconnect once in 2-3 hrs , that is what i am currently living with now 🙁 but he happy point here is speeds that i am getting . i took a speed test from http://www.speakeasy.net/speedtest/ and i was reported download speed of 527 kbps and upload speed of 117 kbps . Here is the screenshot of what i recieved

amazingly wasn't i surfing at 512kbps ??

One thing is for sure. As of today compared to any of Airtel's schemes BSNL is better. I do not see Airetel offering 2MBPS in the near future.

anything to get some decent speeds at a decent cost with decent service......................Dont mind rallying on the bloody roads too, just decide what to do !!

It would be good if the author of this thread edited the first post & changed the HP:// to http:// & made the links clickable.

These look interesting. Do you knw know how most of the people are making use of broadband? Is it just for surfing or is it for P2P, sharing, hosting etc??
