Today, we’re bringing Meet to Gmail on Android and iOS, so that you can easily join video meetings from your inbox.
As we looked at ways to deepen the integration between email, chat, and video—three core pillars of communication—we started where most of us begin our workday: our inbox. To easily join video meetings straight from your inbox, we brought Meet into Gmail on the web, Android, and iOS—and made it free for everyone. And last month, we brought Google Chat into Gmail on web to help you communicate more seamlessly, without the disruption of switching tabs. Soon, Chat will join Gmail on Android and iOS, making it even easier to do more from one place, wherever you are.
Respond to comments directly from Gmail: Last year, we introduced dynamic email on the web, which makes it easier to take actions (like responding to comments) right from a Gmail message. Instead of receiving individual email notifications when you’re mentioned in a comment in Docs, Sheets, or Slides, you’ll now see an up-to-date comment thread in Gmail, and you’ll be able to reply or resolve the comment, directly within the message. We’ve extended dynamic email to the Gmail Android and iOS mobile apps, to help you and your team save time and stay productive, even when you’re not at your desk.
