I don't understand... ADSL2+ supports only speeds of upto 8Mbps... and my stupid Net Meter and DU Meter show 13.5Mbps??? Is this possible? But I keep getting speeds around 1Mbps these days... I dunno some Aritel Server must have ran berserk! But I'm enjoying this! 😛 Any clues as to why my Net Meter showed such speeds? I'm kinda perplexed! 13Mbps in ADSL?? I stay like within 200mts from my DSLAM. Could this do any good? But even then?? 13Mbps is waay too much for ADSL!!
Absolutely incorrect, ADSL is the one that runs at theoretical max of 8Mbps, ADSL 2 runs at a theoretical max of 12Mbps and ADSL2+ runs at a theoretical max of 24Mbps. If your modem is synced in ADSL2+ mode then that speed is more than possible, but under G.Dmt it isn't. That sudden spike seems more like your PC's doing, must have gotten bogged down and all of sudden when it freed up the data being processed showed that speed.
Yeah... I think so... but I wish I'd surf @ these speeds some day!! Maybe not from Airtel but from some Roadrunner, AOL, AT&T or any ISP.... India is definitely gonna give us speeds like 1Mbps with 2GB limit!!! 😡
