Hero MotoCorp

hmmmmmmmmmmm . . .dont know abt here but wonder how ppl in villages take to this change in name....

Village ppl wont notice it for a while because they will continue to use "Hero Honda" brand name too while transitioning to new name. And after 2-3 yrs.. most of people will get used to the new name.

Yeah... Hutch->Vodafone... City Names changing... Its just a matter of time...

losing the honda branding for hero is a bigger deal than that. for me hero honda was more about honda engines powering bikes made in india. even though hero retains the right to use all the engines they have for now and i believe a couple of years more worth of technical support... hero motocorp simply does not do it for me. honda is going on the offensive mode. they are aiming for the top spot in the coming years. bajaj has already stepped up their marketing to counter attack from Honda... hero honda is going to suffer similarly. anyone remember kinetic honda? they are now owned by mahindra. they simply could not survive without the honda branding and technical support. another thing worth mentioning. bajaj had/has a deal with kawasaki. but they consistently developed their own tech and use that in most if not all of their products. hero does do their own R&D but i am not sure how good that is. i guess only time will tell if hero group would be able to sustain and continue to dominate the indian market.

International ' feel ' to the name. LOL!Seems like some Iron Man or Spiderman stuff!

So now there bike will be called hero motocorp splender or hero motocorp hunk or they will drop motocorp but still hero splender or hero hunk won't feel nice

hehe me too. i bet it would be a stupid implementation that would cost them millions of dollars in marketing budget. 😀 never liked hero honda logo anyways. yamaha has a cool logo.
