by the way, what are the speeds i can get with 3g??
It depends.. check the article here
What Does 3G Speed Mean? | eHow.com
The 3G service offering sets the Internet data rates delivered to a maximum of 384Kbps for outdoor service and a maximum 2Mbps for indoor transfer rates -- with no minimum date rates mandated. Typically, 3G customers see anywhere from 50Kbps, which is comparable to the higher end of dial-up Internet service, up to 1.5Mbps, which compares to most consumer-grade DSL services.
Also with HSDPA one will get speed upto 21MBps.. MTNL supports upto 3.6 MBps but no one faced such speed yet and maximum was 2.5MBps.
Generally in Mumbai speed w.r.t 3G are
Reliance (arnd 18 MBps :O) > Vodafone (arnd 11 MBps) > Airtel (Not sure) >>> MTNL ( arnd 2.5 MBps)
This prompts me to ask one more question.. Now the MTNL site doesn't mention anything about 200 GB cap. Does that mean it's truly unlimited w.o any Cap ? Although i know if one crosses 200GB it will be waived off as per previous statement in MTNL site .. It's intriguing for me ..
