Know what ? I think we cant do that either in entirety. 😀 Private ISP's like Airtel actually use VSNL's undersea data cables also for bandwidth..So just TATA ISP. 🙄

TATA Motors is good too[/b]

i tend to see more broken indica's on the roads than all the other vehicles combined...

i really doubt this fact. from what i know airtel has their own international gateways... just give me proof for ur statement and i would be a happy man.

there was time and law, when it was compulsory that every ISP has to gothru VSNL. but that law was removed in 2004. but some ISPs still useVSNL as backbone.reliance has its own gateway. dont know abt airtel.

So you have seen broken Indica's on road .So 'Tata Motors' is bad? Thats you personal experience. I havent seen any. And the top sales figures speak for themselves. I have seen broken Swifts . Does it matter?

During the great Mumbai rains last year while most other cars got stuck in water, many indica's were actually able to drive through feet's of water....

Airtel does have its own under sea fibre cables. But I did read somewhere that they also buy BW from VSNL's cables. I havent searched enought to find a proff like you ask,but this is something.

you are asking me to compare a swift with an indica?

no sir. no way i am even going to imaging doing that kind of a comparison in my mind.

as far as mumbai floods are concerned. i guess people driving Mahindra FJ Minibus would have been even more luckier than people driving indica. that does not make me want to drive a Mahindra FJ Minibus.

alto sells like 2-3 times the number of indica in the market. that does not make it a best car in the market. people buy indica coz it runs on diesel. people buy swift coz they need a reliable spacious comfortable good looking car.

just wait for the CRDI variants of swift and other maruti car due to come out early next year. tata would be in huge trouble.

edit:

no one in his right mind would buy an indica planning for heavy rains hoping that his car wont stop in the middle of a water body. 😉

Lol Mahindra Mini Bus.

haha. Was it not the reason why Maruti pulled out ZEN from the market?
Isnt SWIFT Maruthi's bet to counter Indica's and Santro's.

I agree Swift is a little higher end than them, but not a big leap in category or something.Just a Lakh pricier....

😀 I didnt mean that either ! It was just implied that they are quite robust in reply to your point that you had seen broken Indicas on road.

Maruti made a huge mistake by taking out zen. i am surprised that they still have not realized that. they should have made wagon r a specialized vehicle.

marketed zen like hell. it's the best small car we have on Indian roads today. i went to buy a zen adn the same day news channels flashed that Maruti was phasing out this car.

i bought swift coz i really cannot tolerate wagon r or Hyundai or tata cars. maruti messed up things more when they killed the alto with the zen's engine.

people are buying swift mostly because they have no decent alternative available. the move is indeed benefiting maruti because i tend to see a lot more swifts on road today than i used to see before zen was killed.

two articles i wrote long time back on my opinion on maruti:

Whydo you people like Zen so much? It was highly popular at one point of time. But it has lived its life fully & it had started to show with a steep fall in sales graphs even after the relaunch of zen and thats when Maruti decided to call it quits. (Thankfully). Now that Zen is gone,we can atleast expect some new model like Ignis you mentioned. Same is the case with Esteem. I really cant understand why those few people still buy it. It isnt all that cheap - close to 5 lakh - they can afford a ikon as well instead of a outdated old car. Phasing out old is making way for new ! Whats wrong with that!

i am not sure why you do not like the zen.i have owned the swift petrol for like 7 months and i would still prefer to drive a zen with power steering ANY DAY. the pleasure of driving the zen on empty and jam packed roads is totally diffferent to any other car.people buy esteem rather than ford because of its awesome fuel efficiency and cheap repairing costs. ford is afterall american. my friend owns the ikon and he hates the repair bills of his car. phasing out old models is good as long as you are bringing in better models. wagon r is not a replacement for zen. not even swift is going to do that. ignis was supposed to do that but maruti decided to bring swift instead of ignis. now they are going to launch a totally fcuked up zen v2. they are becoming somewhat complacent like microsoft. they know that no matter how bad they mess up, people would still continue to buy their cars.

na na not mixed up but "messed up"... 😛 😛Get back to the original topic guys, btw what was the original post? 😀
