Hello. I have to login to Hathway on a logon screen everytime I want the internet running. They started this day before. Of course their helpline disconnects you everytime you dial in.This means none of my devices run unless I have physically logged on. This makes the connection quite useless unless its only for surfing on the computer.Has Hathway lost it or is there a solution to this ?Govind/Prabhadevi/Mumbai

i am having the same issue i spoke with the technical people and i have received conflicting information from them one person said that the system times out ever 30 mins another person i spoke to says every 2 hours. There does not seem to be any solution for this. I am also going to junk hathway if i do not get a solution for this. This is a really bad system they have started up.

but that is a ridiculous system if i am paying for an internet that is on 24/7 i should get it not have to login every 30 mins or 2 hrs.update:-i got a call right now from the tech support team, they claim that the time will be updated to 4 hrs today and in future it will be made 24 hrs.

we also had it unlimited but now they are starting this as a "security measure" which is totally laughable. It should be a system where if i login it remains on till i logout.

ya no login and i do not have any limit i was downloading like 30 to 40 gb per month.

This is ridiculous. I have been using hathwa for 3 years to automatically call in where skype picks up and can speak to my grand parents. So would their sons nd daughter able to monitor remotely.Also I could have two devices hooked through the router. Hathway follows the 1st generation wired connection. Now I cannot use this as my computer hifi grandparents have to login every8 hours. Is there a better service provider like MTNL or Reliance who support a router and DONT REQUIRE MANUAL LOGIN.I really like hathway but their login every 8 hour POLICY since May 19h 2011 make it impossible to monitor using skype or astak webcam to check on the part time maids that attend to them. Hathway was very reliable for 3 years but introducin this 8hour login bottleneck is making it impossible to monito remotely . Is there any other service in Mumbai as I would switch in a blink.

I have found a solution for the login hassel, have created a script which will automatically open ie or ff and go to the login page and login automatically provided the username and password are saved. MTNL currently does not have a manual login process but their service is total crap, when it stops working it can go down for days on end and the helpline is totally useless.

then you cant do anything, but if your pc is not going to be on why would you want your internet on???
I have a internet radio streaming box that connects directly to the WiFi once set up. Any device for that matter, which you cant connect if you have to web login first...and that too every few hours..and I am pretty sure am not the only one...this is a networked world, not one where laptops and desktops are the only devices needing internet connectivity !!

ok there is no option then but to scream at them some more, i was told they would make it time out after 4 hrs and eventually after 24 hours which is not so bad.
