Five telecom execs sent to jail

The five are Sanjay Chandra, the managing director of Unitech and chairman of Unitech Wireless; Gautam Doshi, group MD, Reliance Anil Dhirubhai Ambani Group (ADAG); Surendra Pipara, senior vice-president of ADAG; Hari Nair, senior vice-president of ADAG; and Vinod Goenka, the MD of DB Realty and Swan Telecom (now Etisalat DB). They have been sent to jail.

Anyway they will get out, one way or other always common people pays to govt (spectrum overpriced like 3G) or pvt teleco.s (spectrum underpriced)

Feel bad for the executives. They were mere puppets at the hands of the company heads. Surely they don't expect us to believe they were running the show without the respective CEOs having an inkling of idea about it?

exactly.. they may have played part...but they were mere puppets! but well, resective CEOs are too rich to be prosecuted!

^ Exactly. Imagine the embarassment it would be for India if Anil Ambani has to cool his heels off in a prison. It would rank right up there amongst the frauds of the century. This is more of a damage control exercise for India than Anil Ambani. He must be pissing in his pants now. Never liked his (lack of) knowledge of business, but wouldn't have expected him to do stuff like this

I started my day with this news, Raja is in Tihar too.They all are sleeping on floor, being given 2 bedsheets and 1 blanket and no AC.

Raja is just a pawn. The Big fish M.karunanidhi spit the Rs 20000 crores with Mrs G. This whole CBI things is a show as supreme court got involved. With out DMK's support, Mrs G congress can not rule in the centre. ( they can beg others but have to pay a heavy political price in the Hindi rust belt)
with DMK it is only money ( for his support he got plum post and made rs 20 to 50 k in the last 2 terms and using that money to give freebies in the state election to get elected. assembly election just got over)
minister+ executives -ok-are in jail . where is the money?
DMK started tV stations etc with this money. + they are big in films too now.
with out their banner no body can launch and hope to succeed in big budget movies. you will not get a single a/c theatre to show your movie !!

If I have 1000 crores in swiss bank or binami assets ,I can also sleep in bare floor with 1 bedsheet and no blanket even !.
Raja is getting " Home cooked food " 3 times a day and lives in VIP cell ( he will be king in chennai jails but not so much in Tihar, They get much biggest fish most of the time)
