I may have started off a very hopeful thread. but a few of us have heard from various resources that this could be true..I myself was asking for a 512 kbps unlimited plan..the cc told me that this will be addressed before the 15th..it's no fluke that certain areas experienced increase in speeds.
 
Heh you are thinking they will upgrade all 256k's to 512k for the same price ?like they did 128k to 256....heh that would indeed be fantastic, but question i ask you is why ?Who else is offering 512k unlimted at those prices ? I don't see any significant competition yet in the 256k space let alone the 512k space.When the rest start offering 256k unlimted for the same price as Airtel..then we can look forward to 512k from Airtel.

I dont mind paying 200 to 300 more for 512 kbps unlimited
 
Nothing here. Am on a 256 unlm connec with double speed at night everyday.I've got no speed increase yet.Though, i'd pay upto Rs.1000 extra for a permenant 512 unlm connect from airtel.
 

I got those high speeds for a day or two, and then now it's back to normal for the last two days... 256 in the day and 512 at night. Resetted my modem a bunch of times - no effect.

Bangalore folks, could you tell me if they have started offering "night double speed" on the unlimited 256k plan? its the same with me night or day. Waiting for the 512 unlimited connection. Should have happened by now. Paper reports hinted that the govt is serious about introducing wimax in the near future, but i have my doubts though. we need more competition!
 
Not that i'm aware of.but then in BLR, i get a consistant 200+kbs anyway, ever since they started offering it.
