I started this thread for getting reviews on various ISP around nation about common problem which users faced. I said common problems related to speed as per tariff commitment, uptime, downtime, stability and ........ but no FUP because there is a tariff. Oh! yes you can post if you believe that my speed has been decrease even I have not completed my usage limit.
From my experience,
I have tried several ISPs in my areas but no satisfaction from anybody, completely.
Actually, you can say that I am a sick on using several ISPs.
I have tried
1. BSNL broadband
Speed was Okay but no stability. They provide stability when they want. They do not provide internet connectivity when customers want.
2. TATA indicom VSNL cable DSL
Ping time was little bit high but it does not affect performance more. About speed, they only provide as much as per tariff. I think they might have hired employees to restrict speed only. I means, I had taken tariff of 256 kbps. I kept service for 1-2 years but I had not experience any single kbps from VSNL side even by mistakenly.
They keep their bandwidth in cupboard and they save it like water which should not be run off. It is okay if customers would get less than commitment. About downtime, do not ask. It was really nightmare. Whenever I register about no connectivity, I get only one answer 'Dislam is down in your area may be because of power cut' but when I ask that to engineer that does dislam have battery backup? He says NO. This seems little bit funny.
3. " WIMAX
There was problem with cable connection and I migrated to WIMAX because I had paid rental in advance to save time from paying bill every month and also, I had benefit of paying advance rental. So, I had to migrate to wimax. I thought thanks to vsnl who gave me free wimax connection means no installation cost but nothing goes good for ISP's customers. I did not have any problem with down time because wimax comes from direct 24x7 online BTS but BTS was 1-3 km far from my home. So, I had 5-25kbps transfer rate various and also, this affect my surfing speed.
4. TIKONA
Good company if you search for high speed at cheapest rental but it lasts for starting 1-2 or maximum three months and then you will be on tariff speed. I had 4mbps in starting unlimited and my tariff was 700kbps. Normally, no downtime but here, it comes problem about stability. No stability. Their access point was about 17-18 houses apart near about 200 meters maximum and LOS(Line of sight was very clear but they failed to give even single reply of their default gateway. At that time, I was also blank that what was happening? Just 200mtrs far and not reply but later, I talked with area manager. Actually, for knowledge not I had gone to negotiate about my rental because I had paid 1.3k with installation cost and I used more than that. He told me that tikona is facing interference problem from other local company. Other companies also work on free channels like tikona but they work on high frequencies. So, TIKONA authorities had no solution for me rather than terminating my connection. Then I came to know that they are using wasted quality or low qualities receivers which are given to cutomers. Those devices are highly secured but ability to carry sufficient singals. Device is UBNT nano station LOCO2.
5. SPIDIGO
Same like tikona. Spidigo interference to tikona connectivity and tikona to spidigo's. Mutual interference. Same device but little bit high range like bullet2, bullet2 HP but nothing worked for me. And then spidigo, a small company in my city which is feasible only in my city gave me same comapny's device but high frequency. Normally, all companies including tata, vsnl, bsnl and tikona(not exactly about tikona) provide 2.5 GHz frequency devices whereas spidigo provides me 5Ghz(Nanostation 5) frequency device which cost is near about 7-8k. This is really funny. My tariff cost is 3.5-4k and they provided me 7k device but after that, I have no problem with it. I have sometimes if there is a problem from backbone side but no problem in transmitting data from AP to me.
I have changed last three companies, tikona, tata vsnl and bsnl in 3-6 months to get proper connectivity but you, all know that it is very hard to find honest company. Once you can get success to get american visa but stable and pure speed .... NEVER....
And I am sure there are many more sick than me who have tested several ISPs in their areas. So, do not think. Post yout reviews and punch on post button

Oh! about GTPL, I forget to say.
It is little bit interesting.
GTPL(Gujarat Telecom Private Limited)
Its actual product is of channels provider in societies and communities with bad and poor service but customers take their service because they had no choice if they want to watch channels. I am talking about era before DTH. A big don in my city.
But GTPL decided to cheat their customers more and earn more from them. So, they decided to take bandwidth from reliance and sell them to customers at high rates with poor service and no stability and now, they become such big player in my state who can afford toll free number and able to run business in some cities.
Let us talk about my experience, sales man came to my door. He commited me to give fiber at my place in 512 kbps plan yearly. This was a big mistak of applying annually. I did and then they took 7 days to install. Meanwhile, I got review from neighbor about poor service and suddenly, I changed my mind and went to their office to cancel my form but they asked for reason. You, all know how they try to get customers in their pocket. They have shown a demo connection on CAT-5 at their authorised office. Demo was really terrible with cable line. Speed was good but somewhat I observed ping loss in connectivity. Then, I decide to terminate form permanently but they offered me like every's company's policy, use connectivity for 2-3 days and then, cheque will be credited. I said okay and migrated to 256 kbps for half month. They installed connection at my home just after that day before I change my mind but not fiber, cat-5 and I can not ask reason because I migrated myself to 256kbps. I realized that this is the connectivity which I was looking for. No downtime and commited speed. After getting rent deducted from my account, my downtime and GTPL's uptime starts. From that day up to today, I am finding the way to get terminated and get differential amount which seems really impossible. They continued to give my dial up speed and 10-15% ping loss which affects my VOIP, badly. When I raise complaint, they reply me after 3 days and they tell me that there is no problem from thereside and they remind me that after raising complaint, I have used 2-3 GB and I reply back, I complain about speed. I am saying that website takes time to open. I am not saying that website does not open. They hide themselves with usage. No solution from thereside. Seeking for solution but I can say that I have experience poor service and especially, poor customer support from any company except GTPL.

Please anyone can guide me how can I complain about company to DOTs (Department of telecom) or consumer forum or any other way to report to government.
