Tendulkar has taken breaks in between earlier as well & the show went on. The impact will be felt on results, but then after 1-2 years, we will have the new guys settling down and doing a decent job - we have guys waiting in the wings who would be given chances to prove with a longer run - ofcourse we may loose a few games, but thats the way it is . That is why all recomended the 3 (Lax, Rahul, Sach) to retire in phases, than at the same time. They can do what WI did with Walsh & Ambrose - They played them in alternate series. They can do the same - Rest 1 guy in a smaller series & 2 guys in longer series. And do not play them against weaker teams. It will alow a spot to open up,say No.5 whearas the others can rotate in the other spot ,say No.4

On a side note to Admin, the QF fixtures can be updated with the actual match details now that they are known

Thats why i now feel, slowly, Pujara can be made a regular.....Kohli can be given a look into Tests.....we have lots of talent - just that it needs a look into the international arena. We cant make a mockery saying Indian cricket will blow apart after Sachin.

Sachin.. both his hundreds went in vain.. so even though he did his part..it was NOT match winning innings.Afridi...may be if he performs with the bat in one of 3 matches that are coming up.

Hmm... I think the leading wicket-taker or run-scorer always has a good chance, and in this worldcup - we have several players very close in terms of both, so essentially, anyone in the top-20 who continues to do well, will have a chance. For India, we have Yuvraj who has a few good knocks & wickets under his belt. So if he gives 1 more match-winning performance & maybe 1-2 average performances, he will stand a good chance
