hi,I have just got a triband connection in Mumbaiwith two public IPs. these IPs I want to use for Cisco PIX firewall and a VOIP device.MTNL the ISP has provided me with UT STARCOM 300R2UMTNL guys say that they can assign IPs to the eqipmentments which can dial in to the BB Router like Desktops and Laptops and work. but there present technological know how doesnot let them assign IP statically to the equipments like PIX firewall and VOIP device simultaneously. if any one of you know how to do it with MTNL. kindly let me know. So that I could speed up my work of setting and using the broadband in efficient manner.

hi,I have just got a dataone connection in Jaipur with two public IPs. One IP came with the connection and another is rented one. These IPs I want to use for Cisco PIX firewall and a VOIP device on which Public IPs have to be manually configured and cannot use the dialer.BSNL the ISP has provided me with UT STARCOM 300R2UBSNL guys say that they can assign IPs to the eqipmentments which can dial in to the BB Router like Desktops and Laptops and work. but there present technological know how doesnot let them assign IP statically to the equipments like PIX firewall and VOIP device simultaneously.if any one of you know how to do it with BSNL. kindly let me know. Hi
I assume that ur on DATAONE BUSINESS 5000 or Above Plan .

U can Set up the Staitc IP ON PIX FIREWALL on Out side interface (E0). in this case u have to Put ur ADSL Modem into bridge mode . So PIX will directly communicate to the BSNL's Gateway .
Now u have Rented Another IP so i assume tht it has different network ID .
Can u PM me ur Both IP AND SUBNET MASK ?
So i can work on it . and give u the Proper Soultion .
Thanx
