I'm tired and sick of the MT880, I'm having heating problems every 3 hours!!Please suggest me some new ADSL modem. Should I buy MT882 from BSNL? Or buy one myself? Which?

^ all Huawei modems are getting hot after few hours ofworking . Hence I'd suggest to buy a D-Link Modem asper your requirements .

Any specific model? Any website? Where do I buy it?Can I buy online?What is the cost?Will it work with Dataone?How do I set up the connection?

Go for D-Link ModemModel No. 502 T ADSLItz Is best BuyPrice in Hyd 1600/- Only..IT Roxxx..BSNL Givin..Local Modemzz Huwai..Chindi Modemzz..Dont Buy..K

I am also considering buying a new LAN Card, Anyone recommending? It must work in linux also

^ D-Link Network cards should be available at your place . can be configured in Linux .

Plz dont buy the D-Link 502-T ADSL modem.I have this and im having trouble with it.Our line power is 220~240 volts AC with 50Hz line frequency.if there is any change in voltage say down to 190 volt and frequncy of 35Hz (power fluctuation) then the modem looses its connection and NEVER reconnects.Also if u have a UPS this thing happens nevertheless of UPS model.All you have to go for a modem called GLB-502T from D-link.It happens for me but some may say that it never happened to thier's(lucky guys).But i would advice not to take any risks.Go for the one that doesnt have this problem,also any other problem.

don't spend good money on a D-Link network card.. theyre expensive like hell and wont i dont see any visible benefit of using one.. just get a card with a realtec chip such as intex for rs 150 which is the one i'm using.. works well with linux 🙂

Even that happens to the D-Link GLB 502T with power fluctuation,i think that happens to every modem.

@ultimate
get a lan card based on realtek chipset they are cheap.

all power fluctuation problems should buy USB adsl modems that doesnt need external power supply.

i got one from Ebay for Rs 1200. Its micronet USB ADSL modem.and my cousin have one too, he got it from UK its speedtouch 330.though i have done the payment few days ago but i havent recieved the modem yet, so wait till i get mine.
