Dear friends,I am giving below the text of my mail written to Nodal Officer. Others can share their experiences and if they so feel, they can join me in initiating action against Tata Indicom. It is time that we tell Tata Indicom "Enough is enough".Regards,Debanjan Roy,Kolkata"The Nodal Officer,Tata IndicomThis is inform you that I am initiating legal action against you under Consumer Protection Act of 1986 on the following grounds:-1. I am subscriber of pre-paid internet services of Tata Photon plus, with my phone number being 9239551889. Earlier, I was subscriber of post-paid internet services of Tata Photon plus and this migration took place with effect from 23rd January 2011.2.To avail the pre-paid services, I have purchased 30-day validity pre-paid voucher on 22rd January 2011 for Rs 250. 3. But it is matter of deep anguish and regert, that from 23rd January till 18th February 2011, I have not been able to access internet for even a minute through Tata Photon plus, because at each and every login attempt, I have continuously received the same error message:-"The remote computer did not respond".2. It is a matter of deep regret that my repeated pleas to you for help for resumption of internet services through Tata Photon plus has fallen on your deaf ears. I have written multiple mails, made repeated phone-calls and even personally visited your Park Street centre at Kolkata. Yet, no one from Tata Indicom thought it fit to attend to my grievance. It is a shameful matter of continuous neglect.3. A service technician visited me only on 18th February and my internet services was made operational through the much slower CDMA connection and not the high speed broad band connection. The service technician who visited me on this date, told me that I had been getting the message "The remote computer did not respond" because Tata Indicom had failed to activate my connection till that date. 4. This meant I have lost 26 days of the 30-day validity, because Tata Indicom have failed to activate my pre-paid connection for 26 days. Hence, though I have paid you Rs 250 for 30 days of broad band service, but actually I have got only 4 days of slow-speed internet service. 5. So, I had no option but request you by mail that validity of my pre-paid voucher should be extended by another 26 days. But my request has fallen on deaf years and I find that, after 4 days, any attempt at login shows the message "This device is disconnected". This is happening since 23rd February 2011.6. This means that although I had paid money to you for getting 30 days of broad band internet services, yet I was provided with the slow-speed internet service for only 4 days.3. The above facts represents a serious deficiency of service and criminal neglect of customers by Tata Indicom. It shamelessly collects money from gullible customers yet fails to provide service and equally shamelessly, does not pay any heed to its customers. It's actions tantamount to fraud.4. I shall lodge the strongest possible complaint with Calcutta District Consumer Forum under Consumer Protection Act of 1986 and also, I shall write to all major newspapers of the city about the serious deficiency of service and criminal neglect of customers by Tata Indicom, so that at least other citizens are beware of this irresponsible Company's grossly deficient service and do not suffer like me .Debanjan RoyPhone Number:- 9239551889"

well written

Hi that is a good draft.here is my observation.1. Para has been duplicated( after para number 6 para 3 and 4 again begin. When you are contemplating a legal action pay little attention even small factors lsuch as. In the para4 (second 4) issuing a threat is not correct. Because your letter will be produced as evidence. When you have contemplated other course, such as approaching press, you have already taken the matter in to your hands, instead that para must be mentioned, what is the relief you seek from the service providers (same para will be given to consumer court.Again draft another letter, but politely tell them, the damage that accrued to you, and your releif such as, mental agony suffered, financial loss, also mentioned.Good luckwith regards, vaithy
