AIRTEL running FRAUD again!!
Airtel gives one free top up for "Value sports" pack, customer can pick one topup from 7-8 top ups listed on their website.

From past 4-5 days I am noticing Cartoon Network as free top up for "Value sports" pack.
Today I called them to verify if I am eligible by deactivated my current FREE top up.
So the CC guy says, "Yes sir, website is showing it FREE and our system is also showing it for FREE but YOU WILL BE CHARGED!"
I said, "Why??"
He had no answer.
He said, "Sir, if you insist I can enable, BUT then DONT COMPLAIN if charges are deducted!"
I am like WOW what kind of answer is that??
I said: "Then Airtel is running fraud by showing it as FREE on website!"
He said: "Yes sir!! Even I know its FREE but you will be charged!!"
In short its a fraud by Airtel again, by giving FALSE offer on website to lure the customer.

I had similar experience with Airtel CC (I think they are under educated about their service/product, or they are foolish). I wanted to change from Mega pack to Value Sports. I asked to downgrade and keep my HD pack along with 2 Marathi packs (of 4 channels). But CC guy said if I downgrade, I will get only 1 pack of 2 channels. Rest 2 channels would be charged. I said but in website it says that all 4 channels would be available. But he was reluctant to accept it. So I stayed on Mega pack. Again after 20 days I called and asked to downgrade my base pack. And guess what... I am on lower pack and yet getting all 4 Marathi channels!!!So don't trust CC guys from Airtel. Better call again.BTW on which pack do we get Cartoon Network free? If it is available, I would also like to get it 😛
Ok. The page airtel monthly packs was not opening earlier for me.
But now I can see, it has CN free. I will also try to call CC and check if I can add CN for my Economy Sports pack.
But I hope CN is not OR with language pack, as I have already took Marathi 4 channels pack.

I havent gone thru other discussions, but i wud suggest u a simple strategy.......drop an email to their CC to begin with. If they dont give satisfactory answer, threaten them with TRAI's name. Tell them u will take the matter to TRAI. if still they dont budge, u press the trigger, and go to TRAI.Normally u shud be done in the first stage itself, coz the Call centre people are totally useless. 12th Grads sitting at phones, who dont have any sense of responsibility. They are just not bothered that they represent a company. We face similar problems in D2h, but we always use email & our issues do get eventually sorted out.Try out once.
