Its better every ISP take off the unlimited word from their advt. They should rather say we give 10/20/50 GB (what ever possible for them).

Or Pay For what u use!

Why & WHO the HE"" introduced "FAIR USAGE POLICY" in INDIA??
Per reviews/feedback I hear it was Airtel

Does majority of other countries have " FAIR USAGE POLICIES"???
Yes, they do.

Is it something to do with, our currency,POPULATION, CORRUPTION,ETC??
No, it is not

Yeah he hates one for sure his posts are painfull simple.

I wish INDIA could get QUALITy BROADBAND & THAT also PURE uNLIMITED without any FUP with speeds upto 100 mbps.

Like this TARIFF:

PURE UNLIMITED for LIGHT users:

CONNECTION speed CHARGES(monthly)

512 kbps RS 650
1 mbps RS 1050
2 mbps RS 1950
4 mbps RS 2850

Pure unlimited for HEAVY users:

10 mbps RS 4250
20 mbps RS 6250
40 mbps RS 10000
80 mbps RS 20000
100 mbps RS 40000

Keep Dreaming lol..:hysterical::hysterical::hysterical:

well i believe the lower speed plans are already reality through reliance and mtnl.

“Our data shows that over 80 per cent of our customers use less than 5 GB every month. What it means is that such limits are more than enough for the large majority of consumers. An average customer on our network uses eight-10 GBs in an unlimited plan, the limit is in form of speed reduction and not data transfer, which incidentally has no cap,” said a Bharti Airtel spokesperson."

10GB Avg?? Crazy? :hysterical:

Show me Relevant proof that 80% Who use Less than 5GB? I'l Opt for Airtel now itself!:readtherules:
Maybe that's why most of the airtel reps were surprised when I told them I need atleast 100 GB per month. 😕

that has been the biggest issue here. airtel is deciding how much we should be using. i mean what the f. as a customer i have certain requirements, and you are not offering anything reasonable to meet those requirements and you justify that by making claims that are not backed up by any reliable study. i mean if you provide a usage internet service, people would find ways to use it. what sane person would try to explore what the web has to offer to them if you are going to restrict them to 256kbps?

Company should Design the Fup plans according to customers Requirments, Its not they Who decide how much we should use!

IF 256kbps was defined as minimum speeds for broadband. why would airtel lower down the speeds to 128kbps?? then we shouldnt call it a broadband connection. It should be "Airtel cable internet connection"

even in BSNL ...

625 - 256 kbps true unlimited
750 - 512 kbps true unlimited

even bsnl claims average usage is only 4-5GB

“The new reformulated scheme is another stride towards motivating higher usage at lesser cost,” a BSNL Chennai Telephones official said. The 8 GB limit that has been set under fair usage policy will offer considerable leeway for most users as analysis of data consumption show that the Internet usage of a subscriber is about 4-5 GB per month, he said.

even bsnl claims average usage is only 4-5GB

The Browsing per day will consume 100 mb Per day = 2.5-3GB
Video streaming - 500mb.
Downloading a 8 Movies in a month - 6Gb(approx)
Music-1 GB
Other downloads - 1 -2 Gb

Total for 1 month: 13Gb ..

What can u do in 4GB??
13GB, This is supposed to be average use!
